It’s fair to question if Richt can win the big one. But..

Man, some of you guys forget we were only favored by 12 points today. We more than doubled the spread and beat expectations. Are there things to improve? Of course. But we played better than most expected.

I think shannon and golden can beat toledo to be fair. Can you imagine what gary patterson could do here? Only question i have is could he recruit.

Whole lotta what ifs from you

Not really. You admitted that you are willing to sacrifice the program for one title won by some scumbag who wrecks programs. I would rather win 10 games every year and occasionally win 12 and compete for a title.

Nah, every game has to be 77-0 or heads must roll. We da U, baybee.

They’re going to have to start winning the big games and doing whatever it takes to keep the special kids home. Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia are dropping a lot of cash to cherry pick some of the best every year.

Folden would've lost to NC St, UVA & West Va in 2016, plus 7-8 games last year.

However, that bar is set extremely low & we shouldn't judge Richt by what Folden or Shannon used to do, he's obviously head & shoulders above them both.

But we should always be appreciative of the fact we no longer have to deal with that abomination of Corching job that Folden used to trot out there.

Good God man I still get f*ckin flashbacks when I think of games like Maryland, the K-State games in 2011/12, Notre Dame in Chicago, LVille n the Russell, Nebraska, GTech, UVA etc.. Smfh Got **** Al Folden.

There are lots of very good teams that get handed an L today if they played Toledo on the road. I mean, Troy beat Nebraska today. Troy beat LSU last year. Central Michigan beat Oklahoma State a few years ago. Northern Illinois beat Nebraska.

Miami didn't. They went in and smoked'em. With all of Miami's issues, they are far superior to a team like this and I think Richt historically is strong against G5 teams.

I'm worried about Richt against teams with superior talent on the OL/DL. I'm worried about Richt getting caught by some mid-tier in-conference opponent. But I am not worried about Richt against these Ham N Egger Group of 5 schools early in the season.

How can people make these pronouncements when we don't have a legit QB thats seasoned or a serious OL with a terrific run game that carry the offense? The fact is the jury is out. This season i wanna see how the operation is going. Are we executing, are we making dumb mistakes and penalties. If we can run a smooth operation, when the talent catches up we'll be fine

Hope he wins at least some. Don’t want them to fire him after 1 yr.

They won't get anyone worth a **** firing coaches after one year. Short of a Tiger Woods like *** scandal Taggart will be back next year for sure. He may be forced to give up the play calling though if that offense continues to average 5 points a game in conference.

We should have found a qb by now. We left last year knowing the qb was not going to get better. I watched syracuse bring in a back up today that was able to throw accurate passes.

something I really liked about hiring Richt was his reputation as a top head coach, he could call any coach in the country he wants to hire and they would at least hear him out. It’s time that he takes advantage of that pull and fix a couple holes we have. I’m also of the mind that his high reputation as a human could overcome other coaches short comings, that’s why I would hire art briles to run the offense he’s coaching football in Italy right now. I know that probably isn’t popular with a lot of you all lol. With that unlikely scenario off my chest if I were richt I would look long and hard at some of the big 12 coaches to see who I wanted to poach to run our offense. You never know someone like a kingsbury might get fired this year and come available. Look at the success Lincoln Riley is already having
