What does it matter? His game is only two days away. There’s not much benefit to announcing it today vs announcing on Sunday.

Oh I agree with questioning it as a legit "rationale". But it is interesting that the Oregon Rivals board didn't have virtually any threads (at least up until a few days ago .. haven't checked) regarding Mario possibly leaving for Miami. Seems like they have the general feeling that their program is hot, UM is a dumpster fire, and the only way he would leave is for an "elite" position like LSU or USC. Maybe he is getting questioned about it more on a local level. Would certainly seem to make sense .. but then some see that "UM still has a head coach" so there is nothing to worry about.

Btw i started looking at it using my brain. This Manny Diaz daddy stepping in thing is overblown. Frenk and his two guys are the ones doing things. They wanted Waste James to fire Diaz and he wouldn't so they fired him. They are the ones who gonna fire Diaz. Like Lake keeps saying, there is alot pf leaks while those men sre trying to keep it under wraps. Diaz daddy is not the school president and he is one guy. The people that work in the Hecht doing PR stunts have no power.

The AD makes decisions on coaches. We don't have an AD. Once we do, Manny's fate is decided, and announced. There's a reason the announcement hasn't come yet, and it's literally because we don't have a guy to make the decision yet. This isn't hard.

The new AD isn’t making decisions on Football coach. The school is only pretending to make it seem that way. It’s more PR than anything. But you’re prediction sounds accurate.
