It’s December 1st..

if he isnt gone by the end of the day today we are most likely keeping him. Building something special buzz phrase resonated with a lot of people. Classic politics.

I'll gladly be wrong on this in a couple days or a week.

New AD may want to fire him...... Or not

What if Miami already planned on offering in the 7.5-8 million range? Now what ? What other way could they handle it without causing complete insanity around Mario / Oregon? Who at the time was in a playoff push.

What does one more week really matter other than upsetting emotional posters on a message board?

Let’s see the end result before completely losing our ****. There’ll be plenty of time for that if they ***** the pootch.
Complete insanity around Mario? Kelly just left ND who could possibly still compete for a NC and we’re worried about the pac 12 championship game which he has already won. Are we going to do the same for the rose bowl if they go?

Who in their right mind would take the AD spot with a lame duck coach like Manny staying on? Career suicide. Be the quickest tenure ever if it goes sideways next year.

Respectfully disagree. I want him to be gone today and if the reason why it wouldn't happen today is so the coach that we will hire doesn't have to answer a bunch of questions about if he's coming to Miami, then I would argue those questions will still come unless Miami publicly declares Manny is coming back.

Manny should be fired today. We gain little, if anything, by not firing him today.

The day that I'll be truly panicking will be on Monday at like 8pm or later, if Manny hasn't been fired. This will have given Mario enough time to play in the PAC12 CH GM, have Sunday to dork around, cross all the T's and dot all the eyes on a contract, etc. If Tuesday rolls around and Manny hasn't been fired, I will start hitting the panic button. HARD.

You mouth to god's ears. I will take that. Truth be told no one really knows what is going on inside the doors. All speculation is just that.

It does make it more fun though

Oregon is gonna keep Mario if they want. They can throw more than we can at him.

It all comes down to where he wants to live and his family. Family has a bigger influence than most think in these situations.

Being rich and miserable is no way to go through life in Eugene if you’d rather be on a boat in Miami in mid January.

He’s gonna be a very wealthy man either way.

By not firing Manny today when they purportedly can while saving $2M, it sends the message to outsiders that Manny is staying and that we are not pursuing Mario. That's exactly what Mario would want to avoid questions and hopefully facilitate the transition as smooth as possible given the circumstances.

They are not going to fire Manny to appease the CIS faithful and **** off Mario.

Now, if I am wrong then we are all cucked.

At this point, I think it's going to be just like when we hired Manny. We are only doing one interview. If Mario doesn't want the job. Manny keeps it. Nothing has changed.

Also, if Manny is still our HC on Monday of next week (my personal deadline), then gas up the planes and bring out the pitchforks.

I agree, which is pathetic and same old Miami. Letting manny keep the job by default is exactly the type of thing I would expect Miami to do. Scared money doesn’t win and that’s all they are…

That was a large human being…. Good guy to have on your side. I am pretty sure I have the right Greg Jones…
