Isaiah Horton and Jaden Harris

Jaden is a dedicated & hungry kid, he’s absolutely bought in to being as good player as he can be.

He works out, studies film & runs drills just about every day. He even has the coaches sending him film to watch of the Defense. Even though he’s not on campus he’s training like a kid who is.

He’s in Miami all the time, I actually thought he was an EE given how often he’s on campus.

I heard him tell street exactly what you said, you can see in his eyes he's focused ready to compete. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets reps as the season goes on.

Question for the guys who follow this -- are there any good examples in the last decade of true freshmen who showed up in the summer and started on Game 1? I know some kids get looks and get added to the rotation late in the season. Just wondering who has popped virtually instantaneously recently, especially who takes a spot (as opposed to being the only option due to injury).

Harris, Graves and Rogers are going to bring the talent level of our CB’s up quite a bit. Rogers I think will RS to get his knee ready and put on some weight. The other 2 will improve depth and talent right away.

And at safety we forget Markeith Williams is coming in. I'm hoping he's putting in the same kind of work as Jaden. Competition breeds excellence!

I remember @Liberty City El being pretty confident that Harris would be the first of the incoming CBs to get burn this year. This should help with that

yes, i think @Liberty City El and I had posted something about this during the signing period.

he goes to riverwood, which is a charter school, has the IB curriculum, etc. they offer a lot of sports programs and have good academics.

they don't necessarily play against the highest level of comp, but they have very solid coaching and offer a well run program. so he's been nicely prepared as a player and student-athlete, and mentally and physically capable of stepping in, possibly a bit quicker than some of the other guys.

he's going to pick up things quickly, he's long and strong, and i'd be surprised if he isn't successful. don't sleep on him.

Horton was a kid i comped to Leonard Hankerson.

He will be a big body possesion type just like Hank. Low key though...Horton played alot of CB and kid actually was fluid there....thats something i dont think Hank couldve done in hs.

Surprised nobody has mentioned how Mario apparently stopped practice to give everyone an earful because the tempo was not high enough.
Maybe check the practice thread, might be some discussion there, or you can start it..

I wonder if he's taking classes remotely from Miami to get his GA high school diploma.
