Isaac Brown Louisville (is not hurt)

thank you! I was out the whole day and just found out Louisville lost to Stanford which is a huge upset. You could argue Stanford and not FSU is the worst ACC team, so this result was shocking. At least we know for sure that FSU is by far the worst ACC team. Stanford found a way to beat 2 good ACC teams lol I don't know how cause they're terrible. Wow, so Louisville just gave this one away
Id like Stanford and fsu to play in the Losers ACCCG. See which one comes out dead last

OP is brown hurt now? Only had 2 carries. thanks for your service
“November 17 - Louisville standout running back Isaac Brown was ruled out after the first half of the No. 24 Cardinals' game against host Stanford on Saturday because of a shoulder contusion, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported.“

Not good enough. Too fast, won’t run in the A gap enough, not 215+.

I get that OSU, Michigan, and UGA have won with big backs. That doesn’t mean Miami has to follow the same blueprint. We need to figure out how to incorporate speed backs in those two back sets. Get them in the flats for screens, run outsize zone or counter. Then use the power back for the A gap out of the same formation. Sure you can use all five for the same but let’s be real, those speed guys need more reps.

Would have had almost none running Miami’s scheme
He good
But we are good at RB … it’s the brainless run scheme

Brown was a failure of evaluation, not philosophy. They took a smaller back in CWH and added another speed back the next year in Pringle. They want that dimension to complement the existing size.

Pringle actually reminds me a lot of Brown in terms of style. He got banged up recently, but hopefully he can contribute over the second half of the season.

Bro we aren’t and won’t use any of the 3 what are you even talking about? Brown would not be a failed evil because he wouldn’t be even 1% as good here as at Louisville by design

Brown doesn't fit what we do in the running game. People that know like Gogeta have pointed that out.

It would be a waste, he would be buried on depth chart and never play..
It would be a waste because our run scheme is cheeks… close tight goal line formation sets into A gaps that defenses free fire blitzes at.

Kids legit but we definitely didn’t help ourselves letting 2 yard runs turn into 7 yarders. Gotta tackle

Johnson and smith transferred to SMU with success. Cwh will be next. Pringle may stick simply because he can run the A gap.

I mentioned in another thread. I don’t understand why we don’t use these speed backs in the 2rb sets. Motion to flats for screens, routes, jet sweeps. Stay in for counters or outside zone. Pringle is now the fastest offensive player yet we run him on duo.

Dawson made it clear, run game is Mirabal. That needs to end. He can be a part of the planning but not the man.

The problem is these small backs usually don’t work out well for us because they can’t handle the A gap. Pringle and Wildcat could easily be portal bound when all said and done.

Miami is 80th in the country in rushing. Last year, teams had to defend Cam so the issues with the scheme were more hidden. Bully ball is great in scenarios but ineffective all game long because the defense knows what we are doing.

So frustrating that what should be our strength is a weakness.

Our LBs were so ******* dog**** this game. Issue #1 out of the defense in this game imo was tackling. Without question.

We literally just played a game where we couldn't run the ball for **** due to literal 0 creativity, or tackle at all - especially the first half and then at the end of the game. So much for being fyzical...
