Is Vasiljevic the worst "3 Pt Specialist" in history?

Couple things I need to address.

1. Consigliere Your selective sample sizes are hilarious. He shot 35% last year and 35% through 6 games this year. Pretty sure he's a 35% shooter. And to whoever said I should include EXHIBITION stats... I'm good.

2. I, like LPCanes26 , hopes he improves as it would help the team and stars like Brown & Walker come ACC play, but I'm not holding my breath. I don't think he's the WOAT I just think he gets too much hype/respect for his lack of production. The title was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.

3. A Stan is just how the kids nowadays say huge fan. From an Eminem song.

#GoCanes #BeatClemson #McClintonistheGOAT #DJisOverrated

If you are gonna weigh his 1-10 in a meaningless game against Gardner Webb, then I'll add in the exhibition stats. The greater point is that DJ laid an egg in his first official game of the season, and since then has shot very well from 3. As others have pointed out, it's very normal for kids to get better through their careers. And I think DJs good stroke is obvious.

DJ had a **** of a game. As did brown and walker. All shot great from 3pt land. Would love to see that be the norm around here.

35% that's what he is. I think we have enough stats on the guy. He shoots 35% from the 3. Sure he has games where he's on but obviously he has many more games where he is not on. Hence the 35%.

Oh my god what is with people? Have you ever heard of statistics? You can't just think you've seen enough randomly. At only 37 shots the standard deviation is very high.
He was 35% last year with a **** of a lot more shot attempts than 37. Get real dude. I'm not basing everything off of 37 shots lol. Some guys on this board are absolutely ridiculous. You and consigliere... Doesn't seem as if he's all there. Not understanding my previous post? I'm not sure how much easier I can make it so he understands!

Where you at dumbass. 5/7 tonight. And that's not how it works. You can't combine this year's with last year's. Players get much better over their careers in college.

No one has ever improved, especially at shooting, over their college career.

Consigliere shut up already. It's great that DJ is on a nice roll. He's gonna get cold soon and where you gonna be? Not singing his praises. Just shut up!

Nobody has ever improved during their college careers.

Porst less potato.

Side note: are you now rooting against DJ?

We didn't have enough stats on the guy when you posted this on Friday, but after his game yesterday we do. He's at 41% from 3 on the season, and now qualifies as a legit 3 pt sharpshooter. I'm joking of course. jhtheking had it correct. At this point in the season it's too small a sample size to draw a concrete conclusion. But it's foolish to assume he will simply shoot the same as his freshman year. He looks composed and improved in all aspects of his game this year. Last year DJ looked like a freshman. At times lost. It's logical to assume he will improve his shooting over last year. The one warranted complaint about him is that he isn't in great shape. He's a good player regardless, but if he dedicates himself to getting in top physical condition it will help his game. Some might not like the comparison, but he reminds me of JJ Reddick early in his college career all the way down to the soft body.

I'm not a prisoner of the moment.

One nice game. Was cheering loudly when I watched the game on the DVR. Needed it after that ACCCG debacle. But he shot 33% in conference play last year, so chances are his percentages go down.

I'm not sure you understand what constitutes good and bad 3 point shooting.

To wit:.349 3 point percentage is just about exactly average 3 point percentage in the NCAA.

So, to make it out like he was some terrible shooter when in fact he was average as a freshman is a crock.

This year he's shooting 41% which has him 25th in the conference, and tied for 2nd best on the team.

Do you know how I know you didn't do well in school?

So his percentages will go down in conference? He’s had his 3 best shooting performances against the 3 best teams on our schedule so far (LaSalle, Princeton, and Minnesota). He has gone 10-16 in those 3 games. Let’s reserve judgement on DJ until after the rest of the season because I’m pretty sure we’ve seen enough of him in certain games and in international play that he can be a consistent albeit streaky 3 point shooter and offensive force.
