The kid is 6 games into his second year at Miami and "we have enough stats on the guy". Sounds like some potato logic there.

Let's assume 40% or better is good from the 3PTL, okay.

In 2016-17: He shot 40% or better in 17 games. Miami played 33 games last year. So he had more games where he was on than not on. So your post is false.

If you remove all games where he had only 1 attempt, he is even better (17 for 29).

DJ isn't a bad shooter overall. He doesn't just bomb away from 3 all the time. I like when he leaves the 3pt line and shows off some of his other skills. But overall 35% is okay. I'd say 40 is considered good and if you're as hyped as DJ has been... You gotta be over 40. Some guys shoot 45 50 or higher. But I'm not saying he's never going to improve. I hope he does. But he's been 35% for a year and 6 games. That's a lot to go off of. And yeah he's a sophomore who has a lot of experience in high level competition internationally. We will see where he's at after this season and go from there.

Couple things I need to address.

1. [MENTION=2646]Consigliere[/MENTION] Your selective sample sizes are hilarious. He shot 35% last year and 35% through 6 games this year. Pretty sure he's a 35% shooter. And to whoever said I should include EXHIBITION stats... I'm good.

2. I, like [MENTION=19258]LPCanes26[/MENTION] , hopes he improves as it would help the team and stars like Brown & Walker come ACC play, but I'm not holding my breath. I don't think he's the WOAT he just gets too much hype/respect for his lack of production. The title was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.

3. A Stan is how the kids nowadays say huge fan. From the Em song.

Selective sample. Please show me where I had a selective sample. I believe I spoke about ALL 33 games last year.

Some other questions for you:

1. Do you know what is a "selective sample"?

2. Did DJ shoot a roper on your mom's face?

3. Why are you so bitter about DJ?

Side note: I like how the kids "nowadays" use a term in a song from 2000.

Oh my god what is with people? Have you ever heard of statistics? You can't just think you've seen enough randomly. At only 37 shots the standard deviation is very high.

He was 35% last year with a **** of a lot more shot attempts than 37. Get real dude. I'm not basing everything off of 37 shots lol. Some guys on this board are absolutely ridiculous. You and consigliere... Doesn't seem as if he's all there. Not understanding my previous post? I'm not sure how much easier I can make it so he understands!
 
Coach L obviously views DJ as more than a 3 point specialist given his 25 minutes per game along with being the 4th leading scorer. Plus, he showed last year when Newton was out he has diversity to his game. Sure he looks like Gonzalo Higuain, but he gets it done.

35% means he's a decent 3 point shooter. Right now, perhaps apart from Lykes, who would you want shooting from distance? He's fine.
