Is Richt going to make any staff changes?

We are already operating at probation level scholarship numbers. Waiting until after the bowl to do anything, will likely result in devastatingly low scholarship numbers.
You’re conflating separate issues. I am critical of our roster management, but that is on Richt, not Searels.

I think richt is awful and will fail. Is failing. But you asked why he might not make a change before the bowl game, amd I answered you. If you imagine yourself in his shoes, it’s not hard to see. Now, he may well make no changes after the bowl game, either. But right now, I expect he’s trying to figure out how to put up a W to help the final recruiting push.

Sorry friend. I didn't ask any question. I just happen to catch your response to another gentlemen and offered my .02 cents.

I’m quite sure you think so. But it ain’t. And I listed the reasons above. Name a program that doesn’t have a “step back” year. All programs go through it including programs run by Saban and Meyer.

This is more than a step back year. We are 7-5 with massive negativity surrounding the program and a fractured locker room. We are already operating at sanctions level scholarship numbers, and our recruiting class is imploding.

Richt is at a crossroads, just like Golden was year 3. If Richt chooses to handle it the same way Golden did, he won’t recover. The recruiting base has lost confidence in Richt. If he doesn’t bounce back in 2019 in a major way, the death cycle won’t be stopped.

Folden's real undoing was having a roster of multiple draft picks in 2014, having a losing record because of crap coaching, and then doing nothing to address it. Mork is on the same path as Folden. If nothing happens after the bowl game we will be right back to those times. There is no reason a team with the talent we have should lose five games on a **** schedule.

Well most assistants don’t get fired until after the bowl or signing day.

Also, if you have a bad recruiting class like ours you probably wait until signing day so you don’t lose the few recruits you have
Or just hire a Kingsbury and no one gives a **** about who the OL coach is.

By hiring Kingsbury... that'd just about solve some of the negativity around the awfense. But Richt wont change a thing, weve seen this movie before.

It’s imperative that we not fire any assistants until after the early signing period so that we can hold onto all the recruits we’ve already lost.

All that is conjecture. Not one shred of evidence to support your claims.

If he were, he would have done something by now, right? You don’t let your ****** OL coach and your son continue to go out and recruit and be the target of massive negative recruiting if you aren’t keeping them around, right?

Golden had a slim chance to turn things around at the end of his 3rd year too, and did absolutely nothing. That was the real end of his tenure at Miami even though he lasted another year and a half. Would be pretty amazing if Richt fell victim to the exact same circumstances.
The answer is NO and NO. Any staff changes would be made after the bowl game. Doubtful any changes happen this year because Richt thinks next year will be different. He believes he'll have his best offensive line since joining UM and he's probably right about that. The question is how well will they perform?

Next year is truly a make or break year for the program. Anything short of 10 wins and at minimum a Coastal title will be considered s failure. This year's recruiting class won't affect the program until 2020. Another bad year on the field and recruiting trail will be catastrophic to the program. The 2019 class will be juniors in 2021 when we face both Michigan State and Alabama. This is critical because although the 2018 class was UM's best in nearly a decade, my fear is that our best players like Brevin Jordan forgo their senior year putting a lot of pressure on underclassmen.

After watching the college football conference championship games this weekend, one thing is quite clear, the coaching needs to be better and harder. These players need to be coached harder to be champions. It's easy to see the attention to detail elite programs show on the field. All I hear from our coaches is that the players need to execute. Well, if the players are not executing, then that's on the coaches because that's their number one job.

Sigmund the seed monster. Horrible comparisons. They were always moving forward in terms of innovation and recruiting. And how did we fare in our trip to the Acc championship? We were exposed for what we were the entire season. This year we weren’t able to overcome our deficiencies. We could have easily been and 8-4 or even a 7-5 team last year.

That is an excellent agreement for him to fire a bunch of assistants and family members now. Recruits are bailing because play on the field tells team this staff sucks. Fire a bunch of it could help recruiting.

The potentially worse aspects of what's happening still haven't hit yet....
If we lose the bowl game and for that matter get wiped out our recruit class will drastically change.... Then there's the guys that just might leave the team altogether whether it be declaring for the draft or transfer.... I'm really hoping that scenario doesn't play out but I have no clue what to think with this staff anymore.... I never imagined it would get to this point.

I don’t see how CMR can continue with the current staff. No matter what he may believe, the proof is that he currently only has a WR and TE commit for the 2019 class (Tarquin decommit soon). Recruits don’t believe in your offensive philosophy and the coaching staff. If he goes into next season and we experience the same as we did this season I fully expect Brown and Duggans and probably the defensive staff to actively start looking for other employment. James can’t be this blind!!!

Tarquin's about to flip as well. That means Searels has brought in zero recruits to this class.

Lulz @ Saban having a 5 loss step back year in the Coarstal
