IS Miami looking to leave ACC..

It could take a few years, but Miami has to look at branching out if we can't restructure that TV deal.

People seem to forget we played teams in the BIG 10 all the time back in the day and whoop them. Penn ST, ND, and Michigan. (ND not in BIG TEN BUT W/E)

Chase the money and continue to pour it into the program.

Miami is a good fit for the ACC. Like it or not academic standards are higher and it’s an easier path to the playoffs. Clemson has shown why as well. You build a powerhouse and you own it. Much easier to do in the ACC.

I heard the 247 podcast and they said when the SEC tv contract kicks in they'll make 4X what the ACC makes.

Wtf we doing here? At this point the entire ACC would be better off recreating the Big East and starting from scratch, or flooding the Big 12 because their tv contract will be renegotiated before the ACC's will be.

But wait, dodaniels gets all the games on his teevee. What is wrong with the TV contract? Answer the question...

Are yall smoking Angel Dust with this B1G talk???

Yall wanna travel to Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois & sh*t every fckin year?

We get screwed over in the ACC, you think them Midwestern traditionalist are going to let us go up there & take over their conference?

The ACC is really the only place that makes sense for us & the SEC would be a Death trap.

If we did move the only place we could go would be the Big XII & be the new premier school as the replacement for Texas & Oklahoma, but otherwise it’s either ACC or go Independent & going Independent would be a bad decision too because we’d be excommunicated from ever having a shot at the playoffs.

Global climate change will equalize all of that in 10 years.

Maybe the TV contract wouldn’t be so lagging if Miami and FSU actually played up to the level they were brought in for…..

F$U has won a national championship...RECENTLY...

Besides, we have to stop blaming Miami for this. The TV contracts were sub-standard when we entered the league. Our league commissioner was tossing below-market deals to Jefferson Pilot because his son worked there. I realize we haven't been all that we can be on the football field, but the TV contracts are not our fault.

All this hate to the ACC can attributed to Miami failure to live initial expectations.

When Miami joined the ACC, everybody expected Miami/FSU battle for the ACC crown and be in national title picture.

ACC still waiting on Miami to leave up on its end of the bargain. Thankfully, there's competent leadership in place.

Things will get better, once Miami reclaim its throne.

No offense, but that's bull****.

All the hate can be contributed to the fact that the ACC is a ****** conference, lorded over by the tobacco road schools, and the revenue that the athletic department gets will be half of what SEC schools and Big 10 schools get.

And a good case can be made that there is organizational, anti-Miami (and FSU) bias in regards to the conference leadership that hasn't been dealt with...even as Miami (and FSU) has made a habit of asking film of games to be reviewed by the conference brass when it comes to officiating.

In a time when Miami has finally decided to make large commitment to being a successful program, not recognizing that the ******, crooked conference we are in is an issue would be asinine.

Now, the best solution is that the ACC stops being a crappy conference, expands, and starts valuing their product.

I get your point about the SEC, but if the ACC doesn’t fix it’s tv contract we may not have a choice

Miami & Notre Dame about to start their own football conference with Mark Cuban. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Let's roll to the SEC, then. They are about to expand to a 12 team playoff, and our stadium will be rocking for in conference games.

We should try and get our own network deal similar to ND and UT if that is possible. Or negotiate that possibility if its not

We are the only ACC team that is marketable nationwide, especially when we're winning

Only way we leave ACC is to join B1G or SEC. But y'all better realize doing so would end our rivalry with FSU. If we moved to SEC we could gain UF as rival. If we went to B1G we are put of both and lose ND every few years...

Ok, we can revisit this topic if the same issues are present when Miami is back on top of the food chain again.

I believe Miami can be driving force in restructuring a TV contract.

In my opinion, their are two programs (Miami and USC) that can move the needle in college football.

When Miami and USC are at their apex, college football is on another level because the stars and professional athletes are involved. Nobody attracts that star power better those programs.

Look at when turnover chain was introduced, it took over college football because was Miami was top 10 during that year. Imagine the type of attention if would get if Miami sustain that success.

I was told the “alliance” was a game changer and was going to challenge the powers of the sec. Who needs a conference change when you have that? Oh yeah, its pretty much worthless
