Is Lane off the Table?

I think this weekend will tell the tale. Mario would be done with his CCG. So If it's been Mario all along and he's been coming to Miami. I think we know by Monday. But if it's not Mario, Reports than Lane Kiffin would come to Miami and we don't take him up on that? I think we would be crazy not to

I'd just about sell my soul for another Natty.... so Lane *****in it is!

Look at how Ole Miss is finishing the season and how Oregon is finishing the season. It’s possible Ole Miss will finish around 5th in the final polls and Oregon could barely be in the top 25 if they lose tonight and the bowl game.

Manning is not as good as people hype him up to be. Lane would be fine here for a long time. He loves South Florida, the only way he leaves is if someone is offering a big time NFL job or Bama. I’m fine with that, because that means he won a championship here.

What evidence can you provide to back up that assertion?

Its Mario or bust. Manny gets another year if Mario says no. JMO.
If that’s the case…. then the people running this thing are dumber than a bag of ice cubes. You ALWAYS have a backup plan. Idgaf what line of work you in.

Pure silliness. You assume one team wins its bowl game and the other loses and make a value distinction based on that assumption.

What if Oregon wins tonight and faces Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, who they've already beaten (in Columbus) and Ole Miss loses their bowl game. How would that affect their season finishes?

They’re about to pay Mario the type of money Saban and Dabo get, hope he’s worth it!

If I'm Lane Kiffin I would look to stay at Ole Miss. He's in a great place there. If he signs the extension my guess is that Cooper Manning's kid will sign with Ole Miss. He'll have an elite level QB for the next four years. As well, the expectations at Ole Miss will always be to finish second in their division.

At some point a guy like Kiffin needs to stay somewhere long enough to truly build something rather than putting up a decent season or two and taking the next flavor of the month job.
He loses a ton. They aren't reloading for 2022, but more of a rebuild. Arch Manning is 2023. It is not a foregone conclusion that Manning is heading to Ole Miss. The Manning's thought on Kiffin may or may not be positive.

My reasoning for Ole Miss winning their bowl game is they’re going to kill whoever they play because it’s not going to be the Sugar Bowl.

I’m basing Oregon off the last 2 games. Losing to Utah 38-7 is very concerning. Then they only beat Oregon State by 9.

lane was never on the table for quite a few of the top dogs

Underrated post.

Hey, Lane Train passengers - NAME ANY OTHER POWER FIVE SCHOOL THAT WANTED LANE.

The Kiffin Market was so weak, he had his agent leaking stories about him taking "any reasonable offer" to get out of Mississippi.

Lane is plan C in case Mario says no and then Manny quits. And that’s not happening.
