Is it just me or is Texas A&M fools gold?

They had an incredibly weak schedule.

Played ND and Texas. Went 1-1.

Everyone else on their schedule sucked. LSU quit on BK. Mizzou was starting a backup QB.

This quote is from a Texas fan:

“Texas was the only team with a pulse aggy played since September and they got their asses kicked and their players physically gave up at the end. I don’t think Miami realize how big a gift they were given to play A&M. If your defensive line can put any pressure at all on Reed he turns into a weak kneed spaz.”

THEY CAN AND DO SAY THE SAME ABOUT US!

in reality they are very talented but if we play as well as we did against the Irish and Pitt then we will win.

their schedule makes them appear better

and it was NOT the Missouri backup QB. it was their THIRD STRING QB.

I will have to do a deeper dive on A&M, but in the limited amount I have seen so far what concerns me most are Reed’s ability to move, and their DL. In the few times I have seen them play their DL was creating absolute havoc. Our OL is a strength of course, so this will be a big time matchup and it should be fun to watch. I think they’ll be up to the challenge but it won’t be easy

it is feast or famine for the Aggie defense

they are one of the worst in the country at giving up big plays

but one of the best in the country on third down stops

they can be gashed in the running game and the passing game-

and against Texas their DL did nothing

I think they are a very good, well-coached football team, and probably the best or second best roster we will face overall. To win this game, defensively we need to be sound against a QB who can extend plays and get the ball downfield to major weapons. On offense, empty the clip and be relentless stretching and testing their defense. Threaten the run from multiple sets and come back to PA off of them.

We proved we can kick somebody’s *** on the road by kicking Pitt’s ***. Grated, Texas 8 & 4 is more talented but the team shouldn’t be intimidated on the road.
Going to A&M and going to Pitt are two different things. I was at the Pitt game - stadium was maybe 1/3 full.

No doubt the crowd will be way bigger but at least they’ve had the recent experience of an away game.

My concern is Elko vs Dawson. Im not a fan of coach Dawson. Give Mike Elko and staff a couple weeks to scheme against Dawson and I expect us to have trouble scoring.

That said, this is a very winnable game for the Canes.

Texas A&M hasn't played a single home game against a team with a winning record.

UTSA (6-6)
Utah State (6-6)
Auburn (5-7)
Mississippi State (5-7)
Florida (4-8)
South Carolina (4-8)
Samford (1-11, FCS)

Been posting it since yesterday but I'll keep saying it. Look at the QBs they faced this year. Straight ***.

Miami hasn't seen a team with better wrs in years. Craver and Conception are 3 level wrs that can win their one on one's consistently and be explosive taking the top off secondaries catching it deep or rac and be dangerous. Add Reed at qb who has more mobility and arm talent than Jennings who has killed us twice. Best team we have seen by far all year. We have trenches with average skill A$M has trenches with really good skill.

I’ve watched a lot of A&M this year. Top of mind things about their team.
1. Their pass rush can get after it, Bell better be ready for the speed rush or chip with our TE.
2. Reed scrambling. Need a spy or need our ends to FINISH the play and get him down. Need lightfoot or K scott to be there
3. Reed is a streaky player, times you watch him he’s high level other times he’s G5.
4. Their receivers are really fast. Need to tackle in space
5. Elko is **** of a coach and it’s going to be a tough team to play

Canes by 3.

Anyone who thinks this is a going to be easy is misguided. Their stadium is one the toughest places to play in the Country, if not the toughest. I like the new Mario and he's going to get us to the OSU game. We need to play smart and go for the jugular. GO CANES!

I’ve been to a big close game there between TAMU and TN.
Huge crowd, but they are not notably loud or raucous.

Watching the ***golas on the sideline is pure entertainment.

Reed has 6 INTS in his last 4 FBS games, and has throw a pick in 7/12 games they've played, 7/11 if don't want to count the FCS game

For all the crap spoken about Beck, Reed has the same amount of INTs on 14 less passes and has had 3 fumbles

TrumpyCane thinks we should win the TO battle

I'd feel alot more confident if Reed wasnt such a problem running and extending plays. Our secondary has to be ready to cover for a extended periods of time. I get anxiety thinking about Reed scrambling around and finding Cenception or Carver for a big play because of a coverage breakdown.

They have guys all over the field. But so do we.

Either way, it feels ******* great to be talking playoff football on here after a quarter century of misery. You can feel it in the air boys.

There is one thing I know for sure - Mario will have them ready to go on 12/20.
