Is it just me or is Texas A&M fools gold?

Oh, and yeah, it's nice and early, but don't fool yourselves, this is going to be an absolute zoo.

Also, most of our players weren't even born the last time Miami played a game of this magnitude. That will be something they'll have to contend with, the mental aspect of playing a game like this, on the road. Much of the work Mario will have to do in preparing the team for this is purely mental - if they start to unravel under mental pressure and do a lot of stupid unforced **** like they did at SMU, it'll be very hard to overcome and they may lose by multiple scores. The good news is, every Saturday since November 1 has already essentially been a playoff weekend for them, so they should be used to that kind of a must-win scenario.

I’ve been watching film since yesterday and I’ll give more details but I’ve arrived to this stance. They are gonna have to sell out to get us off schedule. The opportunity to be methodical is there and even further if we manage to take an early lead it’ll spell trouble. They already don’t run the ball very well. If reed has to be a passer we’ll have him shaking like a bad pair of dice very quick

This is a tough game in a tough environment. Texas A&M is elite in some categories. I actually don't think we can be methodical against them. They are elite in preventing 3rd down conversions. We need chunk plays. They are susceptible to giving up long pass plays. Their defense can be beaten. Can we keep Beck clean? They lead the country in sacks.
On defense, can we force them to throw and not have their QB beat us on scrambles? They don't allow much pressure.
Admittedly, this is based on reviewing game by game stats and not watching their games yet.

I am really interested to see the gameplan the coaches roll out. For as much as we all poked fun at the let it rip thing, the offense did look different after that and Mario kept his foot on people's necks. I know in big games he seems to play to not lose big, just hang around enough, get a 3 pt lead and protect it kinda thing. I wonder if he reverts to old Mario, or if he is still in the mindset of blow everyone out of the water. I do think Texas AM is better on the DL at rushing the passer than stopping the run, might be a run heavy game but I cant say that is the wrong call here.

Reed running worries me... CJ Carr had some runs but I kinda gave them a pass because no one really saw that coming and we were ok giving up a few yards to him here and there. We caged in Brown from USF real well. Lil Tommy had our dudes GASSED. he had mediocre number I think something like 15 caries for 60 yards but still got loose on a few. Jennings picked apart our D throwing but it was really his ability to move the pocket and extend the play that helped. Lot of interesting matchups in this game and a lot of strength on strength, I am here for it.

Texas A&M hasn't played a single home game against a team with a winning record.

UTSA (6-6)
Utah State (6-6)
Auburn (5-7)
Mississippi State (5-7)
Florida (4-8)
South Carolina (4-8)
Samford (1-11, FCS)
