Flagg was perceived as a fringe player when he signed on here despite being one of the most decorated LB’s in Texas last year. The guy just played the part against Pitt and you can tell he already has more situational awareness than the upperclassmen. Huge get.

He’s been championing Pope for good while now. I’d like to see Redding and Key Smith with Pope at slot.

The biggest reason I like Flagg over 44 and 53 is he’s a TRUE FRESHMEN and he’s making calls I even saw him move 53 into the right spot which is insane a 5th year in the wrong spot

#11 will be starting by Mid season. He’s clearly better then 44 and 53. And he made two play chasing a faster man to the sidelines. That’s good enough for me when speaking of speed. The defense just plain played better when he was on field. That’s no coincidence.

53 was looking around for someone to blame on their only TD. I was like dude, you were the only possible playwr thst could have been assigned to the TE sneaking out. He just lacks football IQ.
