Is Homer the guy or will Lingard pass him?

Going to get some hate for this but
Homer showed up more in big games than a lot of our rbs have in the last couple of years in this 1 year alone
148 yards vs #3 team in the country 8.5 ypc
64 yard td run vs #13 team over 6 ypc
First game starting 170 yards vs ga tech

Not from me you aren't. Homer played well.

I want the slow developing sweep for Homer in the gun eliminated from the playbook because it never works out our slow OLine and he's better north/south, but he's a good back.

People would say Barry Sanders had no vision if he played behind this line.

Games are won in the trenches. Homer is not the problem for the lack of ground game.

Some of you people are nuts. Homer lacks vision, leaves yards on the field? Travis Homer made many big explosive runs when he was given just a little crease. The best thing he does is limits negative runs, the runs Walton would lose 2-3yds he gets back to the line of scrimmage. Dude runs through arm tackles like no ones business and he can run away from secondaries. Without Homer last night we may not have had a positive yard. He was our only offensive player who could match their defense physically

We don’t know how good he is bc teams are stacking the box on us bc our qb has no confidence and not much time to throw deep

**** its hard to run no matter whos back there against elite defenses that r stacked at every spot..........**** that LSU RB that went to Jacksonville was a beast a could never run on bama ever. U have to load up on talent the staff cant be missing on home grown savages if not we wont ever be what we should be, we need a dynamic qb to balance everything out and Im hoping Perry is that

DJ Dallas has the it factor and imo is a better natural runner than homer. Homer is a bruiser and has good straight line speed. Dallas is the complete package. I'll wait and see on Lingard, but if I had to choose today between Homer and Dallas, I'm going with DJ.

The elite teams rotate 2 - 3 running backs. We will be in that position next year. The top 3 guys will get touches.

None of us have seen if Lingard or Camron Davis can block or run routes. There's more to getting reps at running back than grabbing a ball and hitting a hole.

Homer, Lingard, and Cam Davis give us a nice set of RBs. Lingard could be the next Duke Johnson.

DJ Dallas is a very interesting player. Should he move permanently to RB, add 10-15 solid pounds? Then he’s one of four RBs. Or should he move back to WR? Richt needs to get Dallas involved more.

Homer is a legit RB. He's housed a lot of long runs for us and fights his *** off for the tough yards too. He ran over Clemson's star LB last night with ease. One of the few players out there to destroy their guy.

If anyone passes him on the depth chart via production then that is a **** good thing.

Putting lingard in front of homer is just idiotic. Our fan base is laughable. Homer almost 1000 yards starting in like 8 games. He’s strong, fast, runs with power. Yet we want to annoint a kid in hs the starter. Dumbest fans ever...

Well Kayaa leaving didn't matter bc N'Kosi was going to take over.
McDermott was getting kicked inside because of Donaldson coming in.
Berrios has been losing his slot job for years, especially when Sam Bruce arrived.

I love the optimism and i'm excited as **** about some of these recruits, especially Lingard, but let's allow them to get acclimated to the team and college game before anointing them starters over experienced guys who have produced.

Lingard is the best RB recruit in the nation. Lets not act like it's far fetched for him to come in and win the job. Especially with Richt's history of RBs at Georgia.

It would be great to see.

Homer is a good back and is still young. If Lingawd beats him out, watch out.

None of them are not getting any burn if they can't pass protect. Homer was barely playing (prior to Walton injury) because the coaches questioned his ability to block. So, let's hope they can pick that up first before we talk about them passing up sophomore and junior running backs.

He should move back to WR and do returns, plus the wildcat. He should replace Brax as our stud slot receiver.

Don't forget, Portis and Davenport made James Jackson a better RB. With young guy pushing Homer for playing time he will be a better RB next year. We really need depth at that position.

The thought of Homer with a good OL excites me. Doubt it’s him. Our OL sucks donkey ****.

That's an awful big suck.
