Is FSU Actually Good?

The sheer stupidity of wanting FSU beat Virginia is mind-boggling. I mean, maybe FSU is better than I think they are and they end up smashing Virginia, but that’s not what I’m looking for.

What if somehow, we stumble along the way, and have an unexpected loss here or there. So some of you think FSU is good, and if they actually are, we’re going to need for them to also have as many ACC losses as possible or we don’t get into the conference championship game.

There is no circumstance where FSU beating Virginia actually helps us, in fact it’s more likely that it would hurt us.

Nothing that is written here is going to make any difference regarding these games. But if you’re going to talk about wins or losses that help us, FSU beating Virginia doesn’t help us in the slightest.

Just ******* stupid.

People have selective memory. I love Mario but he’s notorious for losing games he shouldn’t. I’ll take that wiggle room every time. Outside of us, give me every ACC losing their games.

And even if you think he’s gotten that monkey off his back, regarding losing games he shouldn’t, which remains to be seen, other crazy **** can happen. God forbid, injuries, or horrific ref calls, bizarre bounces of the ball, just about anything you can think of.

There is just no circumstance where them beating UVA helps us in any way. It is ridiculously absurd to think otherwise. The most counterintuitive bull**** I’ve ever read.

People here are addicted to Big Brain-ing their way through this ****. College football is mostly about hating your rivals. Their misfortune has zero downside for us.

ask mesidor on the reverse where he chased down the WR while having to stop and then retrace, all for a 2 yard gain.

go to 26:41 and watch his speed to the sideline. one of the more understated but impressive plays of the game.

as long as we stay in our lanes/set the edges/have contain, i don't think we'll have an issues

 
What I am watching for during FSU @ UVA:

FSU's offense:

1) What situations does Malzahn try to pass?
2) What is the play design for #1?
3) How effective are 1 and 2.

I'll be paying particular attention to their lateral movement pre-snap. My impression is that they prefer to go horizontal rather than vertical when trying to stretch the field.

FSU's defense:

1) How does FSU align their safeties against a competent QB?
2) How effective is UVA's offense, which has been good to date, in the mid-to-long passing game (and what works)?

It’s not selective memory for me

I just think if we can’t handle business in the ACC then I don’t want us in the playoffs getting our asses kicked by legit teams

This schedule is set up perfectly to exorcise the demons

Also what coach doesn’t lose games they shouldn’t? There’s certainly not 12 of them

Much of that really isn’t directed at you I know you know this

We are byke and have the line bullies so yea Zzz on worrying about ACC wheel of destiny or anybody else but this U. Time to be on that arrogant 80s ****.



Hope FSU comes in undefeated and confident so they suffer more when we beat that *** and we have more silly posts for the FSU Tears thread.

I get it but this season is too important. I’ll take all the help we can get even if we don’t need it. FSU losing only helps Miami.

I mean the competition for them hasn't been great but they are the best offensive team in college football (and if the season ended today would statistically be one of the top ever). Our defense will have its work cut out for them, as to me they profile like a slightly worse passing but better running version of 2019 LSU.
 
Like I said in another thread. We have no business losing to these ******* clowns. If we do, it's totally on coaching and not being ready after the bye week. We ran all over their *** last year and we're better this year running the ball. Everyone crowning their *** cause they caught Bama sleeping. Which Bama is not the Bama of old. Coaches have our players focused and still hungry come next Saturday we'll be fine.
