Is clemson 2018 team the best team ever?

I believe you measure it, across eras, by these three factors:

1) did they win Natty?
2) how many players were drafted by NFL?
3) how high were players drafted by NFL?

I'm not sure 2018 Clemson will achieve 2001 Miami NFL draft results.
 
2018 Clemson is one of the best ever but not the best. Best D-line and top 5 D in college football paired with a generational talent at QB and great wide outs. 2019 Clemson can be very scary.
 
when u strap on the uniform of the CANES, it represents power, self esteem, courage and representation of your unit. Bad *** . Miami lost that for a long , long time. I hope COACH DIAZ brings it back. Ill see. until that......................................... good luck.

Neb 95 gets blown out by this Clemson team, but the 2001 Canes are still at the top.

I do, however, think that you can make that argument (Clemson 18'). Especially with their last two games. They've certainly earned their way into that conversation. But, 2001 had no weaknesses. None except for Coker and he wasn't enough to derail them when they wanted it.

There are only 2 positions that Clemson 18' is superior to UM 01' and that's: QB (but not by much) and DL (but not by much and maybe not even). Everything else is UM 01'. And, of course, only time will tell, but does Clemson 18' have a Sean Taylor, KWII, Wilfork, Gore, McGahee, as backups??? That's a hard haul to match.
