Is clemson 2018 team the best team ever?

I specifically meant the Hall of Famers.

There is probably a team or two out there that had two on the roster. I'm guessing the 70's USC teams (Lott and Allen, maybe?) and of course all the teams before 1950 when there were unlimited scholarships and only white guys can play.

But if either Wilfork or Johnson gets in... the year 2001, to have THREE HoF'ers on the same team? That strikes me, on the surface, as entirely absurd. I'm not going to do the research but would love some input on it from the board.

And then you get into things like the NFL TD streak (which will never, ever, ever be touched....it's one of the most ridiculous records in all of sports), all the 1st rounders, yeah... best team ever.

At least throw some stats in there, or story lines to give a new thread some credibility. Your best bet would have at least been stating that people have saying they beat a team that had been discussed as best ever this year in Alabama before the NC. But expecting a good response on a Miami board against the 2001 canes is not a good idea 😂😂😂

Honestly, losing confidence Andre gets in. I used to think he was a lock. But WR is going to be very, very difficult for the guys 1997ish and forward. Dre has the yards, he passes the eye test, but the TD's are low and he doesn't have a ring. And then all the guys he's competing against, including Reggie (who I think does get in). I'm not saying he does or does not, but I'm less sure than I used to be.

Wilfork? He SHOULD get in. Again not sure, but I'd put odds on him over Dre.

The thread has just turned into a circle jerk for all of us over the '01 Canes.

I'm OK with it.
 
I drove down to Easley sc today (near the campus) to look at some new trucks and of course I had my canes gear on and we got to talking about football in the Chevy dealership

1979 USC had 4 HOF's. Marcus Allen, burce Mathews, Anthony Muñoz and Ron Lott.

I live in Clemson country too (Greenville) and the Op is right. These dumba$$es around here are saying that they are the GOAT college team. It's pure **** dealing with these ***ers

I live just up the road from u in gaffney sc. yeah they all think they the goat and they love to trash our team
