He's also probably 26 years old by now. How many redshirts does he need? He gonna stay till he's a 6th year senior? He's either really good and he will go to the league to leave tread on the tires, or he stinks/can't stay healthy, in which case he gets his degree and begins his accounting career. Either way, he doesn't need 15 redshirt seasons. If you're healthy enough to play, go play.

Chaney was a true freshman in 2020 and due to the whole bonus year thing he's listed as a third-year redshirt freshman.

Kid is most-likely 20 years old at this rate and comes back for 2023 and bails, or sticks around for 2024 if he doesn't have some banner year next season.

He played in our bowl game and had 50 yards rushing on 6 attempts for a 8.3 yard average and also had 44 yards receiving on 3 receptions for a 14.7 yard average.

Then in 2020 season he had 322 yards rushing for 4.7 yard average and 143 yards receiving for a 13.0 average.

Yeah he's never played for us.

I was originally told 6-8 weeks win it happened , when it got word of it being pushed back to GT or later I felt it was best to just sit him the rest of the season.

Normally I'd say rest him till next year but we need to know if he's actually going to be a player after all these successive injuries. We can't preach toughness and coddle certain kids. If he's healthy play him.

If he is healthy I think the best thing for him is to play. Go into spring with confidence
