Entitled? Because we got screwed over by ESPN and SEC collusion? Some of you aren't the smartest cookies, huh? You just see whatever ESPN wants you to see. The smart ones among you agree with me. Yes, ND DESERVED to be in by their on field performance. As did Miami. Ole Miss, OK, and Alabama DID NOT. Not that hard. Call it entitled if you want. Every fan base has their less than intelligent people. We sure do also.
No, dopey. We don't "see whatever ESPN wants us to see". We just acknowledge the reality that ABC/ESPN bought up almost all of the bowl game inventory, and that we can't dictate every situation to our own benefit.
Look, I get that you (and Notre Dame) are upset, and in certain regards we actually agree with you. ND should have made the CFP over Alabama, and there is certainly an SEC/Alabama lobbying effort (possibly assisted by ESPN) that led to this outcome.
But what can anyone do at this late date? From the time that the pre-season rankings were released (TEN of the SEC teams in the Top 25), we were always on a collision course with "FIVE of the SEC teams in the CFP field".
So don't accuse Miami fans of not being the smartest cookies, when we KNEW this day was coming all along. We didn't know who the victims would be, but we knew there would be carnage. And if you want me to respect ND's current complaints, it would have been nice to see you guys saying something BEFORE NOW.
This **** is math. It's predictable and simple AND IT'S NOT PERSONAL. Some school(s) were always going to be left out to satisfy the never-satiated SEC hunger for more and more and more.
I agree with you on all the undeserving SEC teams. Where we are calling ND entitled is with (a) your expectation that any deus ex machina was going to fix these foreseeable problems, and (b) the post-snub anger and threats and accusations arising from your AD and fanbase.
Miami is not your enemy. ****, the ACC isn't really your enemy either (or not in any way greater than what Miami or Clemson or FSU feel).
