Its a possibility he backs right into it just like Freeman did if they falter next season (assuming they fumble this season, which may or may not happen still. Plenty of games left).
Who is to say they won't can Freeman mid season next year, Golden named interim, he wins out and they keep him, just like LSU w Orgeron for ex.
Not happening...but one can dream. Would be hilarious.

Yea they been praying for his downfall ala Gattis. But Freeman such a kiss *** that I can’t even muster a defense. Hiring Golden and then announcing today that he is converting to Catholicism. I really hope that isn’t a play to garner some job security.
