It provably benefits us more if ND beats NCS. After we beat NC and VT that sets our game with ND up to be huge event. The winner will automatically be in the discussion after that. Whoever we play in the ACC title game will not be as big as the ND game. Clemson already has one loss so even though they are defending NC it will not be as big as winning the latest Catholics vs Convicts game. Clemson's win was a one off. We are playing for a bigger target than one NC -- Our Throne back from Bama and the END of Satan's reign. Once we win one everything changes.

The month of November will be the real test and certainly we remember what happened last year. According to the polls TODAY, we haven't beaten a ranked team in the top 25. Please don't say these teams are overrated because we should then HAMMER both of them. The reality is both contests like many we've had lately will be a tossup. If we don't bring our A game to both contests will might have mental breakdown on this site. Just think, we had 4 interceptions last week and the game came down to the last minute or so. As so profoundly said by CMR, "we cannot impose our will on other teams." Translation is we are good to win but we are not where we need to a true contender with a chance to beat Alabama.

Sorry, but there is no room for a dose of reality on this board. Anything short of "they suck, we will kill them" will not be tolerated.
 
yeah not getting the whole jist of this thread, any team that lost to a very good Georgia team by 1 and smoked USC with other quality wins is about a good a resume as there is right now
 
They're a really good team. Their fans have reason to be confident.

But so are we. I expect that to be an 8-0 Miami team vs. an 8-1 ND team. Gonna be INSANE.
 
We don't match up well with ND. Physical run game and a physical defense. We haven't been good at stopping the run all year and we **** sure haven't established any sort of consistent power run game. We have the athletes and our strength is our aggressive front seven. That's kind of kept in check with a downfield running game, as we've seen. We can win, but people brushing this **** off are comical at best. We will need to play a lot better in all 3 phases to win. We can do it, but we need to be more complete. It starts this weekend vs a **** UNC team

Going to have to disagree. If they handle their business before the game and we win against both, UM is a top 5 team. The media may not want to give us credit but they will have no choice if we beat ND and VT.

If we squeak those games out, we will not get any credit for it. I strongly believe that. They will just keep waiting to see the next team that will beat us.

Strongly disagree if VT and ND keep winning we will finally get credit once we beat them.

1. We got our season off to a really crappy start. Hurricane delays really hurt us.
2. We played some surgical QB's and some good scrambling QB's, and THEN GT, which is a unique beast in of itself.
3. Less stunting, man up, press coverage - and our gaps won't get confused.
4. Against these better defenses - VT and ND - we saw success with five outs - empty backfield - identifying more easily those who would blitz.
5. Our run game relies on us establishing the passing game - maybe not ideal - but that's just the way it is - so Richt better figure that out fast.

Thus, we have better skill talent than either ND or VT - we just have to play to our strengths - and forget the BS SEC mindset.
