Invest in the band

Invest in a better sound system at the stadium and someone spinning music that is on-brand with the program.

We don't need no band out there playing "Seven Nation Army" on tubas and other brass.

Gimme a dude in the booth cranking classic rock and hip-hop tracks synonymous with the program and the Orange Bowl days, as well as some new hits to get the crowd going.

Unless you have a world class band—Ohio State, USC, Florida A&M, etc.—who really cares. Think outside the box.

I 100% agree and was going to say something similar. Miami should be "Miami!!" and embrace the culture of the area. Make the games an event with updated lights, lasers, music, smoke coming out of everywhere, fireworks before the game. Embrace the culture of the city and make the 7 Saturdays in the fall feel like a must see social event.

Don't embrace it on all the social media promotions and recruiting creations, but then not deliver that same energy on Saturday afternoons. I also think that Miami should pre-schedule two games as night games every year. Eff the TV execs. Preselect two games that will be night games before the season even begins to influence a bigger crowd. If it means the game ends up on ESPN 8, then so be it. Deliver something special for the fans.

Now don’t make me roast you now I’m not on the computer all the freaking time but I’m at every single game cheering the boys on
I don't live in the area so unfortunately I'm unable to attend games. Go ahead roast me I don't care.

So if you don’t even show up to the games why you coming at me ? I want the school to be successful in everything

Did I comment about the lack of attendance at games?

The school is already putting money into football why not the band ? I counted the band and we had roughly 80 people playing musical instruments .I know most people don’t give a **** about the band but it’s a slap in the face when the away teams bring a 300 person band and blow them out of the water .

Has nothing to do with "investment".

Miami does not require any music students to play in the marching band. As a result, it's all volunteer, it's mostly non-music-majors who did marching band in high school. My HS best friend/UM roommate was in the UM band throughout undergrad in the 1980s. This has been an issue...forever...we are a small private school.

FYI, the F$U music school requires music majors to be in the marching band for their freshman year, and that boosts the numbers. If F$U wen to "volunteer only", they'd have a much smaller marching band.
