Interior Offensive Line Positions

No. Do you understand how depth works? Holley and hunte are rs guys. Ford hasnt done anything, bethel hasn't done much, and nesta is coming off his freshmen season.
Bethel has done more than not much.. He's just limited. Ford is the one who has a big bullseye to me. He's too big to not put it all together this year. Nesta needs to have a good sophomore year. I def. think Holley and Hunte are RS candidates. Blissett may crack the top#5 rotation. Barring injury I hope the class of 2019 plays their 4 games then they all get hit with a big RS

Bethel hasn't done much and that's a fact. He was playing beside willis last year and still didn't really stand out.

lol what games were you watching? Bethel has done more than any DT on the roster by far... yall sleep on him..

Boulware making one of the weirdest decisions I have seen in a while will hurt us this year. We weren't deep there to begin with.

Best case scenario for the spring imo:

Kennedy and Gaynor cement LT and C this spring, respectively.

Donaldson and Scaife lock down the guard spots with Reed as their primary backup.

Starting RT emerges from a group of Campbell, Herbert, and Hillery.
FIFY
Lulz @ anyone out of Brown, Nelson, Dykstra or El Gammal winning a starting tackle spot.

Why does our oline suck so bad? When was the last time they actually moved people consistently in a season? Wtf already!?

Scaife progressed as the year went on. I would keep him at RT and let the position battle happen at LG.

LT- Kennedy
LG- Reed/Campbell/Hillery/Herbert/Whoever
C- Gaynor
RG- Donaldson
RT- Scaife

Lost: T. Gauthier, H. Mahoney, J. Jones, V. Boulware, B. Milo

Returning: N. Donaldson, C. Gaynor, C. Reed, Z. Hillery, Z. Dykstra, J. Griffith

Added: J. Clark

Maybe Adam El Gammal gets a look at guard.

Get ready for my curve ball...

Jordan Miller # 91 in your programs should get a look at OG.

DT is looking pretty solid with Nnoruka, Bethel, Ford, Silvera, Holley, Blissett, Hunte.

Miller is almost sure to get passed by the more athletic DTs that Simpson appears to covet, and we're in pretty desperate need of help at OG.

Jeremy Lewis, Damond Neely, Robert Hall...it's worked before.

If nothing else maybe Miller could become the next Freeman Brown or Ricky Perry.

Give Tyriec Martin a try as well?

You're acting like 300 lbs is big for a DT. When I say big guys, I'm talking about mammoth, space eating nose tackles. The only one who fits that description in college was Wilfork. I don't think any of the other players you mentioned played at 300 lbs at Miami.

Don't ever try to lecture me on history.

Edit: Damione Lewis played at 295
I couldn't find Cortez Kennedy's college playing weight but he was listed at 305 while with the Seahawks.
William Joseph was listed at 297
Jerome Brown was listed at 292 with the Eagles
Gerald Willis was listed at 285 by UM but probably played closer to 295.

you really think guys listed at 295, 297 and 292 at some point didn't play at 300lbs for UM?

I'm a big Bethel fan but if you read Lance's breakdowns it very rarely paints Bethel in a positive light.

We will see though. He did have some good moments last year too.

Our fanbase acts like we have no talent on the o-line. There are schools that would DIE for Donaldson, Scaife, & Reed. They’d actually celebrate. Calm down & let our new o-line coach do his job.

I think we can agree on a top 6 that includes Donaldson/Scaife/Gaynor/Reed/Campbell/Kennedy

Look at this list of players and tell me that guard depth is even close to adequate

T Kennedy / Scaife / Campbell / Brown / Herbert / ElGammal / Nelson

G Donaldson / Reed / Hillery / Dykstra / Griffith

C Gaynor / Clark

But outside of them it's looking pretty heinous:

Brown
Herbert
Hillery
Dykstra
Clark
ElGammal
Nelson
Griffith

That 6 is/ can be an upper ACC OL. We only
need 2 more from that other group who can somewhat function. Y’all act like we supppse to have 13 OL starters every year.... Give me 8 who won’t **** the bed A decent OL coach and let’s ride..
