Interesting stat on Yost as an OC candidate

Also ranked in the 80s on 3rd down and in the 90s in scoring TDs in the red zone.

Yards per pass attempt weren't good. Yards per rush attempt weren't good. Put up lots of yards but the points didn't correlate the yards they put up.

Would be an upgrade but no thanks. Seems gimmicky to me.
Stop it....he was left with trash when he got there....Was his Utah St Offense gimmicky 2yrs ago??....Look at his resume with QBs...

The Utah State offense wasn't good in 2017 across the board. In 2018 they were very good across the board with an elite QB in terms of a G5 school. His Oregon offense in 2016 (passing game coordinator) was very good.

Bottom line is this isn't gonna fix the issue unless a grad xfer is brought in at QB.

Dont think Yost leaves Wells in my opinion and of course nothing has been offically announced so Enos is still OC anyways

That's the thing... idk what he had at Texas Tech in terms of roster. Would be an upgrade for sure and has a track record of success. Just something about Yost to me that doesn't get me excited.

I'm not a big air raid guy.. probably why I am not sold here.

Go to YOUTUBE and watch Yost Mic-d up....from Oregon too Washington St...to Utah St....and tell me his Off wouldn't be successful here....Look what he did with QBs throughout his career....most notably at Missouri...

I'm high on Yost. He may be one of the few OCs that could turn around Manny's disastrous starts here and salvage his job here. Having said that, I bet Manny goes in a different direction because Yost makes too much sense.

He's not just an Air Raid guy....he can go any which way you want....uses his RBs alot...

This. Yost isn't a viable option IMO. He's happy where he is and there's nothing wrong with that.

Yost and Highsmith for Football AD are this season’s version of the CIS set up to tear down throwing it out repeatedly to get hopes up to be disappointed with the end result no matter what it is.....

So wise for clicks....

Miami was 122nd in sack percentage this year.

Texas Tech, with Yost as OC, finished 6th this year. Utah State finished 2nd in 2018 under Yost. Missouri was annually a Top 25 team in sack percentage under Yost.

The biggest reason is that Yost loves throwing screens. This may be a nice fit with our young OL.
Love it. He should clearly be the top target. I remember @CaneDynasty clamoring for him last year, and with good reason. This would be the type of home run hire that could instantly save Diaz.

The steaming **** that will result from this is without question.

I cannot wait to feel the warmth wash over my football soul when Temple is up 20 to 3 in the 2nd quarter next year.

Would love Yost but he's not coming here after Manny fires his OC after 1 season and is on the hotseat itself. Any big or up/coming OC will pass on this job unless the $$$ is simply too much to say no to.

Based on past interviews, Yost seems to care more about family time (and good for him) and loyalty. Doubt the $ buys him

If Manure doesn’t make Brady tell him no then he’s a bigger **** than I thought. He should also talk to Kevin Johns. I think Johns would be attainable unlike Yost and Brady.

Nobody with a pulse is coming to this sh*tshow so they can be fired when Manny is purged next year.

Left with trash on offense at TTU? That’s very surprising to hear.

What were TTU’s offensive rankings in 2018 in major categories compared to 2019? That would be interesting to know.

Chise....The Defense was the problem...way more than the Off...I read an article (school affiliated) that said the Defense was the primary problem....Yost's entire Body of work the last 15+ yrs is Top Notch...

our brilliant screens use our smallest WR's to lead block for a slower TE... not an x&o guy but would make sense for our bigger TE/WR's to block for the quicker elusive WR's.

Supposedly this year Texas tech had their worst receiver group in the last 20 years this season and their most explosive guy was a former walk on.
