Interesting comments in pressers..

So all the drops and wrong routes was a figment of our imagination ? They tried putting it all the on wr’s now we’ll throw it all on the qb. It’s everything.
All of the WRs looked better (in every aspect) after Jake entered the game. He throws a more catchable ball than TVD and his ball placement is better. TVD throws lasers like he has Mark Duper & Mark Clayton catching the ball and the WRs can't handle it (see the ball hitting Brashard in the facemask on the last play against TAMU). Everyone on offense looked better when Jake was in there (especially the WRs).

Has a similar burned-out look to him
It was talked about on here how different and how much of a challenge he had in front of him coming here. He said a bunch of the right things, and acted like he understood it. The halftime interview and the post game interview, sure looked like he thought he was stepping into a puddle, and it turned out to be a sinkhole. He had no idea.

TVD is definitely fraudulent but the WRs are still pretty bad. It's amazing Ke'Shawn has so much burst on kickoffs and yet can't seem to get open for his life as a WR.

Garcia will make it better imo...but we better score on 40-50 yd plays lol; as soon as we get into the red zone, Gattis defecates all over himself.
I agree with this 1000%... He both Smiths are fast in a straight line but can't get separation for whatever reason. And also for some reason once we get to the 10 Gattis goes east to west. Makes no sense.

Look, I'm not an avid Gattis supporter (how could you be after tonight), but we did have a ton of dudes open first half. TVD couldn't hit jack.

But the red zone playcalling...especially when you know you haven't been getting push against their Dline all night..was nothing short of a hard-headed, hair-pulling, unmitigated disaster. Other areas weren't great either, but my gosh...I think a middle schooler could design a more sophisticated playcall if he had that many opportunities.

Hopefully we show up against UNC, because lose that and the season will go off the rails for good. Win and it stops the hemorrhaging.

I can take watching Jaiden Harris or even Malik Curtis get burned. I cant watch it happen to DJ Ivy for the 1,500th time.
You need to stop with thr Ivey blame game. That's just an emotional response.

You're basically blaming Ivey for getting beat by Tyrique Hill with no safety help.

The blame it on Steele for being over aggressive when MTSU was pinned at the goaline.

Miami rolled the safeties up when MTSU was pinned at the goaline. MTSU isolated their 150 lb speedster WR on the CB which happened to be Ivey. If it had been Stevenson, he would have been beat as well.
.
The point is that you don’t leave big CBs on an island 1 v 1 against super fast WRs without any safety help.

That happened 3 times. They scored 2 TDs and one catch where our safety made a tackle, but was a huge gain.

The defensive scheme didn't respect MTSU's big play passing ability and paid for it along with young DBs getting beat starring into the backfield.

We went from looking atrocious to just looking bad, which is an improvement technically. Now we‘ve went from coaches and fans throwing wr’s under the bus ro now throwing it all on TVD? Which is toxic as **** and makes you look around your foxhole.

The one constant we’ve heard since spring was the wr’s were struggling. To the point we were dumpster diving late for anyone to jump aboard. Now it’s all on Tvd? He’s struggled but he’s also been let down a lot by countless drops , wrong routes and a horrible scheme fit. I literally posted before the season if they won’t cater the offense to him they need to just hand it to Garcia.

The issue is all the above. A very vanilla offense that plays slow, inside the hashes and very basic. The blame pie goes to everyone. More to the coaches because players have regressed at the skill spots. They need to take a long look in the mirror the next couple weeks because these kids quit today.

That's a bad place to be.

I pray Mario looks himself in the mirror.

He hired the OC

This is his offensive style.

He refused to bench TVD

Players had no interest in this game, until Garcia.

He should have know this style of play doesn’t work with S.Fla player as
I agree with all except the TVD thing. I think the time he pulled him was the perfect time.

For me personally, I won’t front and say he should’ve been bench earlier. TAM was a red flag game for me. Today just confirmed it.

That whole idea of "Get rid of the previous kids" is bullsh1t. A real leader changes culture and in sports you do that with style and results. Mario is good with people, It's not the players attitudes......It is literally the style of coaching on O.....On D, there is a bit of a talent drop but they are okay enough to get it done. The offense literally vomited this game in their FIRST THREE PLAYS FROM ScRIMMAGE!!!!!! c'mon mang! The offense was disgusting
Ok enough to get it done? What? They are not ok. Not even mediocre. They are a D2 defensive talent.

Idk if you can share this, and I think I know the answer but...was Gattis his plan all along? Did we ever seriously entertain an offensive mind that has ran or is currently running an explosive offense?

I know we had smokescreens early on, but it really did get hazy at one point as to what was real and what wasn't.
The offense seemed to move under Garcia. I'd like to see what things look like with a team thst is focused.

Very disappointed to see a team show up for AtM and then the complete opposite against MTSU.

This is problematic in college football. This how App St beat AtM.

Georgia gave up 22 points to Kent St. today. More points than they have given up in all their previous games combined.

The difference is we don't have the talent level to win by not showing up.

Very disappointing with the lack of effort and execution.

I think Garcia should start the next game. Skinner should get more playing time.

The offensive line needs to be read the riot act.

The score was out of hand, but I would have liked to have brought in 2 extra tackles as TEs (aka Stanford) when facing their 9 man front. It may not have mattered since it looked like our offensive line checked out before the game started.

Everybody on the team thinks he's a spoiled rich kid that had everything handed to him. They all think if Garcia doesn't get injured he wins the job.
Irrelevant.

The 2021 season played out the way it did for TVD when he got his opportunity. This year, he's gone from bad to terrible.

It's now time for Jake to have an opportunity. I think he earned it. The ball comes out quicker and the decision making is much better. The offense moved better than anything TVD has shown this year.

This is just the ebb and flow of the QB position.

why pray tell is #85 even getting serious burn, he has really been up and down ever since he arrived
The fucced up thing about 85, is that they CONTINUOUSLY ask him to block muhfuccas. They know **** well 85 can’t block a **** toddler. There’s plenty of film evidence showing this… Yet they keep running his *** out there.

After last week I’ve written off the QB and skill guys, but the OL and Defense today were by far the biggest disappointments
