I know there’s a lot of people here that don’t read the recruiting board (you don’t want to read it right now trust me) so I wanted to put Ray Rays senior highlights over here as his name keeps coming up day after day

It’s true that we landed some absolute monsters in the last class but we’ve had a hard time with WRs and playmakers but this kid is THE GOODS

He will likely play the same spot as Restrepo, and X will of course be a cornerstone of the offense especially with his history with TVD, but this kid right here could be our best weapon on offense right now

Not only is he absurdly fast, but he runs with power. He routinely blows right through tackles without slowing down. As he’s running he kinda reminds me of Duke Johnson in a way, only faster. Now of course I don’t mean he’s a better player but when you get a kid with this kind of speed that also breaks tackles, those are where some huge plays come from. To me, he’s another clear 5 star talent in last years class he was just a little undersized.

MODS PLEASE PUT THIS THREAD ON THE RECRUITING BOARD

Scared Meet The Browns GIF by TV One

he should get plenty of burn based on how Dawson talks about using weapons and his "two deep"
and we need this kid on the field....
I agree. I genuinely feel pretty good about Dawson and him putting our best players in spots to succeed

We heard that from Gattis last year but it didn’t play out that way but Dawson gives the vibes like let’s not overthink this. Get the ball to the playmakers somehow some way don’t overcomplicate it

I’ve often used the phrase “instant impact” a lot recently and how we need more of them in our recruiting classes. Too many recruits in the past years need 3 years to finally get in pocket. Ray Ray is one of those kids who is already in pocket and been in pocket. Instant impact indeed

Couldn’t agree more. We put a lot of pressure on freshmen because frankly we’ve been so desperate. Ironically the last true freshman that really made an instant impact might have been Duke?

I feel like his versatility just fits in with what we’ve heard from Dawson but if you go all the way back to the spring Joseph’s name just comes up basically in every praciSe report

I only watched the first 6 minutes or so. What sticks out to me is that there may has well been no defense. He looked like he was playing against air. If I were the coach I'd just give him the ball the entire 1st quarter and then we'd go into garbage time so the rest of the team can play.

He's certainly slippery and point of contact balance and strength is elite, in particular for his size. There's a **** ton of poor tackling in that video, happens a lot in S. FL football, but again he has a hand in that. You think he doesn't have the angle on some plays and then there he goes. He'll be fun to watch through the years.

Good point about the tackling. When I first saw him I thought he probably grew up playing running back but I’m not sure. We see some of these guys get out into space and they run around like a sandlot. They’re standing straight up carrying the ball like a loaf of bread just using their speed. He gets the ball and goes into running back mode

Ahmonn Richards qualifies as instant impact. If ray ray can have half of Ahmonns freshman season, we’d all be very happy

Not to go off topic, Ray Ray will be great. But whats the word with Robby Washington? Another highly touted guy but havent heard much
Good question. I remember the people that saw him most thought it would take him some time because he was very raw at the position. Clearly crazy talented but they thought it would take a while to make an impact
