Instant Impact Jalen Hurts

Hurts is from Texas and OU would be an obvious choice for him to play close to home, but stranger things have happened.
I think that would make more sense if he was coming in as a freshman. Being that he has one year left to play, I can see him making the decision without considering location.

I just watched some videos of Jalen Hurts between year 2 and 3 and you can see that he is obviously better with his footwork and passing trajectory. He moves in the pocket well and still has the ability to make huge runs no doubt. I think Miami is a great place for him to be but with our offensive line problems last year I am not sure that can be fixed in one offseason. Oklahoma has a great O line and coach. The only thing that would convince me otherwise that he does not end up here is that they cannot keep lying to the number one quarterback recruit.

As we all know his Dad is apart of his decisions in a big way.... Club liv and the beach is perfect but this is a business decision. I usually can hear something going on at the campus but NOBODY KNOWS WHATS GOING ON. I REPEAT NOBODY. We have to sit and wait trust me i dont speak on **** if i dont know.

A long time we have set back and said dam all our quaterback has to do is get it to our playmakers and we will win. IM OVER THAT ****.
I want a quaterback who is the playmaker and will amaze the **** out of me. Jalen has that ability and we have seen him do it, but the offensive line must get extremely better because its one thing to ball with Bama O line but its another with a bad one.

Been saying this since I sat in Jerry’s world watching lsu push our **** in. “Playmakers” can do all they want to do but if the QB has no time to pass the ball regardless of talent level, the playmaker is useless as well as the QB. It starts and ends in the trenches. If you look at Jalen in the seccg, there was a throw he made on the run to I believe number 14. The pocket collapses but the o line still works to maintain their blocks. That was pure synergy from the way Jalen was coached to the o line maintenance of continuity through the play. We get that at the U? This **** is a wrap!

Don't be an old head. LIV on Sundays is a big thing in Miami. Im sure they showed him everything to better his future as far as football, but 'mon man, he's a college kid. LIV was the cherry on top.

Far from an old head. Just saying sometimes you have to know your audience. Here's a kid that from all accounts is way more mature than most his age. I don't know another kid that has accomplished what he's accomploshedccomplished and handled things the way he has. This is business for him.

The whole OU-Heisman thing they currently have going on is tough to compete with. No one is winning any Heisman here for the foreseeable future.

To the OP, I wasn't excited about the staff taking him to a nightclub either. Some in here were jumping and screaming when they saw that pic. Others keep bringing up women as compared to Tuscaloosa. I don't think this young man is focused on partying and women. He wants to hone his skills to improve his chances of playing professionally. Hopefully our staff convinced him that UM is the best place for that.

This and besides, kid could be a country kid for all we know and those situations for kids like that make them very uncomfortable.

With Austin K bailing and Murray declaring, Sooners are convinced he's going there. Still hoping both he and Tate become Canes. Enos Effect?

dont count Maryland out of all this . depends who Hurts would rather play 1 year with -- Locksley or Enos.

I think Marylands schedule could be a factor, basically all cold weather games last half of the season including games in Minnesota and Michigan st

Im confused. Do u know him personally? Have u seen him when the cameras are off?

My point is, he is a college kid. Even professionals in the NFL know about LIV on Sunday. I can guarantee u that LIV helped, not harmed, his recruiting while here in Miami.

Do you know him personally? How can you absolutely guarantee your statement? Works both ways.

If Enos is responsible for that, what can he do with Jarren? You know he hasn't received any development since he walked on campus.

If he was all work, no play, then he could have easily refused his trip to LIV, and guess what? He didn't. One of the main selling points of coming ti Miami is the lifestyle.

First I didn't say that it hurt. Second I'm confused. Do you know him personally? Have you seen him when the cameras are off? Just wondering since those questions were asked by you in response to me giving my opinion yet you follow that up with guaranteeing that Liv helped with his recruitment.

Contrary to what folks believe, there are 20 YO kids out there who aren't so down partying at a place like LIV. Some kids are just country and it's not their cup of tea. I don't know what camp Hurts falls into but I don't think a visit to LIV is going to make or break him coming here.
