Insight on App State?

The day I'm worried about whether the University of Miami is going to beat Appetizer State in Football is the day I quit watching football all together.

Miami by 21+.

same way i feel....im literally trying to find a reason that we dont beat them by 2 scores...and cant find it. I have no clue why you guys gauge them off of Tenn...who imo arent good..and didnt care much about that game...

Because they aren't a bad team at all. And we aren't that good.

Skill players...That's right. The offensive line against defensive line is a push and I think the scheme App runs will present issues in line play on both sides of the ball. Just my .02 which don't account for much and certainly not here.

Believe i'll leave the room and let you all fight over how much you'll win by because App barely beat FAU....(hint: they've never played FAU) Continue to be ignorant of facts, don't be surprised when the outcome isn't what you expect. I know we've only played fau and famu but we've been able to stop the run at a ridiculous clip at .9 yards per attempt which is by far the best in the nation. So i'd say App state can run if they dare.

Most of these weak-kneed "fans" are new poster trolls or guys like INCumFace who don't even watch the games.

You can't be a real, longtime UM fan and be quivering over a team that was FCS a couple years ago and doesn't have a single player we wanted.

I'm a longtime UM fan and although I'm not quivering at any team, I respect what ASU brings to the table. I just hope our players do too.

Didn't look like they trust their QB to throw much

They rely heavily on their run game (Cox is a good RB...very difficult to tackle)

They also run a lot of "gimmicky" stuff (sweeps/end arounds, option, zone read, screens, etc...)

Reminds me a bit of the WVU Pat White offense, except they are far less athletic/talented (obviously)

Our LB/DB units need to have a **** of a game because their offense could potentially be a major pain in the *** to defend

However, I do see us taking care of business and coming out of Boone with the W

People get all wiggy about App State because of the Tennessee game and, more importantly, because of what A/S did to Michigan in 2007.

Appy State is getting a lot of undeserved credit. This game is only close if Kaaya soils the bed.

I strongly suspect that we will see blitz packages that this App Store QB has never seen before. Diaz and Kool, I am quite sure, will not only want to establish dominance at the LOS, but will want to Meet at the QB as often as possible in the First Half.

The differences between a Golden-led Hurricanes vs Richt-led are pronounced.

Golden routinely talked, "it starts with me", yet continued with the "me" that was failing in the first place. Keeping D'No (bff or not) y-t-y is the most glaring example while not making 2H adjustments on either O or D a close second.

N=2 only with Richt and staff, but just look at the FAU game--passing phase not working the way Richt wanted, so he adjusted to other capabilities and didnt default to "trust the process"...a Golden broken record staple.

So far, we are seeing the "successful" HC/OC Richt vs the mediocre HC/CEO Richt (not a crticism, but fact...settle down all). IMHO, the former is where he really excels...its what earned him his big opportunities to begin with and what will keep him in the seat.

App St is a respectable opponent and the Canes must win every snap...but do people here really think they are at Richt's level?

Not insulting App St staff and athletes, but they just arent.

Golden loses this game or wins last second. Richt wins this game unless the team bus gets hit on way to stadium and starting line up struck by lightning in 1Q.

Bottom line to me after watching the first two weeks of both Miami and App is that if Kaaya turns the corner this week, we are going to roll right over App. If not, could be a close game but I expect our running game to wear on them down the stretch. But it will be a stressful second half.

yeah I mean i'd rather a team like app try to beat us with jet sweeps and a spread offense. they don't have the team speed to beat us with that I don't believe.

cox is a great rb but I don't think they have anyone going to beat us around the corner and up the sideline
