Richt's stubbornness will stand in the way of bringing in a quality OC.
To do that, he must first admit that the guns he's been sticking to on this matter all season weren't exactly 6-shooters...
Look like the BOT want him to put away the bayonet offense. I'm in the Richt will be arrogant and stubborn and make no changes!! And the noise will grow until his *** is fired!! JMO!

Yes ego can block anything. Also probably would be a head-butting between Richt and an OC that he does not approve of.
This is what I'm afraid of. A quality OC can succeed with the talent coming out of SFL. But a successful OC will also expose Richt's antiquated OF of the past 3 years....so I do think Richt's pride will stand in the way of progress if he is still here.

CEO Richt needs to get out of the way by being dismissed from the program like Jeff Thomas was. Both "failed to meet expectations."
Richt needs to be dissmissed from the program! He failed!! JT was just frustrated with Richts OF and you can see in his attitude in the VT game that he set out to prove Richt wrong when they had to finally open things up! With no TE's Richt hand was forced to spread out and play with more WRs on the field at the same time. Now JT became a main target which showed his explosiveness that was missing when Richt was sticking to Rosier and his poor play calling.

Based on these articles, over a million puts you in the top 15 for assistant coaches. The article says 1 million or more. I think we'd be able to get a legit coordinator at that price.

The thing that stands out to me on this list is the overwhelming majority are DC's. @Dwinstitles would get a woody when reading it. That being said, a good OC should be had for a reasonable salary.

Wishful thinking. Unfortunately we know Rick bought himself some time (IPF). Basically his 4 Mill was 3 Mill. The other 1 went to IPF instead of a legit OC.

"That Trustee A said UM is positioned to pay a high-level offensive coordinator $1 million or more annually."

That is the important part.
Doesnt matter if MR is here the recruiting momentum is shot. Hes basically the walking dead until they get him out. Save that 1m

This is why we could offer Butch $2.5M, leaving $1.5M for an OC, and increase Manny's money a bit to step things up.

We can also free up a little money by getting rid of Little Richt and our current "OC" to put in Manny's pocket.

And I have no idea on the OLine coach - but we need to do whatever it takes.

They had better be prepared to up the salary for Diaz or make him the HC....He has the passion to be a Cane

Those lists, while < 1 year old, are already outdated. Aranda/Venables are in the $2.5M range already. Canada is has already moved on and is now interim HC at Maryland. $1M isn't going to get us the best of the best, but it would put us in the upper echelon...but as everyone has already stated it's all a moot point with CMR still at the helm.
