I honestly don’t know. I don’t like to speculate, initially I thought Achilles, but this thread has me more optimistic. So what do u think the injury could be

Disclaimer: It's been around 25 years, but I was an athletic trainer in college and based on the initial actions of the training staff, you can almost immediately cross off a ruptured Achilles. A fully ruptured Achilles is unmistakably obvious and would look like a softball rolled up in his calf.
My guess is he has a grade 1 or 2 calf strain. Now that does involve partial tears more than likely, but I think they (the medical staff and O.J. himself) thought that it was merely a bad cramp (possibly wishful thinking) initially.
Just my two cents
Pretty sure that is an illegal block too. Dirty ********.
I saw the replay on espn on slow down....he sees Fletcher and puts his head down going for his knee...you can see Fletcher sliding his lower body to stop the impact. FORTUNATELY, the guy missed his knee.I immediately thought of the McGahee injury when I saw that hit. Thought Fletch was done but was relieved when he popped back up. Guy absolutely came in for the hit with dirty intentions.
No. Just turned the ankle before the ball arrivedQuestion....Did J. Smith step on OJs foot? Anyone with insight let us know.
