Injuries…holler at me

McCoy would have been a huge loss, and Buchanan was also missed. Glad we have both of these guys back. I think McCoy proved his CIS doubters wrong. He is one of the most valuable players on the team. OT is one of the most important pieces on any team, and it’s also a position that requires development. Mirabal knows what he is doing and (once again) that became clear to everyone last night.

Samson and mccoy are the two guys we absolutely cannot afford to lose outside of Mensah

What's the nature of Blount's injury? Was he on the sideline/did he play in the 2nd half? Would be pleasantly surprised if Lightfoot isn't out for a while, so Blount too would really hurt.

This year reminding me of the Niners. Physical team that practices the way they play on Sundays. Always a ton of injuries.
You shouldn't push this kind of narrative. And where were all the injuries last year? Don't remember anything close to this in 2024 either. It's a physical game. Injuries happen throughout all camps & practices. We've had some bad luck so far, but it could be worse...at least it's still early in the season.

I’m not convinced Fletcher is 100% either. He got up a bit gingerly after a run in the 4th but stayed in for another good run then went out. Announcers commented on him being “finally healthy” and smiling but looking like he was grimacing with some discomfort then was bent over. Maybe just gassed or maybe was sick?

Him and Toney are definitely banged up. They seem minor and more recurring type injuries. Hopefully the bye week is enough.

Agreed. We've practically physically since Mario's been here and never had anything close to this.

Lightfoot looked to be in a lot of pain after his arm got sandwiched. Maybe he can play with an elbow brace .

Pure speculation but I thought he may have landed awkwardly in the first run, lost some of his wind, then the next run was big and he was spent. Looked like he was laughing on the sideline with a staffer, she was giving him water and holding what looked like oxygen. Seemed like he was just trying to get his wind.

Best bet late in year and that’s pushing it

Yeah I’m pretty much counting on he’s done for the year and if somehow he’s back sometime during the playoffs, it’s a bonus.

But holy **** do we need a FULLY healthy Lucas, EOC, and Antoine going forward, starting with FSU.

If you’d have told me in July that, during the Clemson game, and not in garbage time, we’d have Bryce Fitzgerald and Ryan Mack playing every snap at corner I’d have just assumed there was a mass-casualty event.

I was told November at best right after the game and Lucas midseason. Then a couple weeks ago it didn’t sound as promising. Lucas is on schedule
Yikes. Doesn’t seem like this team is ever gonna get mostly healthy. So probably at the very least rule out the entire regular season for oj on the 2nd play of the year. Brutal
