Inhuman play

This is the guy that some posters felt warranted a B- for how he played against USF. I’m not arguing that he was perfect, but his level of effort was awesome, and needed. We will need chase Smith all season. He is a play maker. Go back and watch his fumble recovery. He out maneuvered 2 guys out of the way, inlcuding Mesidor, to make that play.
Linebackers have played inspired football this year imo

It’s not the most talented group and they’ll make their mistakes but dammit…Heathermans impact is noticeable

Hopefully it continues to trend that way rather than the nosedive we took under Guidry

really odd play design... lets not block Bain at all and give him a free release right at our QB who I assume has the option to keep it around the edge or shovel it inside. Great discipline by Bain to stay home and force the shovel and yeah Chase blew that up, knocked the T off his base and on his ***, stonewalled the guard coming to pull and made the tackle lol

This is normally how it’s designed. You’re trying to bait the unblocked edge up the field and flip the shovel pass inside him. You’re right, very good discipline by Bain and both high IQ and violence by Smith. This is both excellent coaching and effort.

That’s just called wanting it more. With his injury history, he probably doesn’t take a single play for granted.

That's a big boy play. It's been so so long since we've seen Miami defenders consistently slip blocks.
He did better than slip he nuked #51. Guy started a couple of yards to the left of the right hash then ended up on his *** on the other side of the hash lol.

Jesus what a play

Love the production we are getting out of chase this year.. it was only 4 years ago we had walk on ragone taking these same snaps in the “2nd unit”

Depth is evident

This is what the players talked about before the season. That Heatherman’s D is violent at the point of attack. Seems to me , if yall don’t want destructive contact, this D is not for yall. These boys are violently interacting full contact and sending Coaches message. We are not here to F**k around, but you’re here to find out.🙌🏽

I never sold my stock because it became a penny stock but I’m eating good like i bought Steve madden

I thought his play in the USF game was the best an LB looked at miami in, well, a very long time. I loved Shaq and he was a great player for us, but the thought Chase really shined this past weekend. Hope to see to see it again.

Reminds me of the John Malkovich character in In the Line of Fire. Creepy is infrequently fantastic, but Heatherman is it. Straight out of central casting for Mario’s minister of defense.

I suspect he’s rooting for very bad things to happen to Lagway tomorrow.
Bet he’s scheming bad things for Lagway. It’s up to the boys to deliver that message.🙌🏽
