appreciate the greatness of 'the Carol City Comet', Santana Moss. For my money, one of the top 25 players all-time at UM. Yeah, I said it. Did I stutter?

By the time he left Miami he was in the top five in just about every statistical category for a WR and TD's and was a deluxe return man. On my all-Miami team, he's my slot receiever

He had the best acceleration and explosion of any Hurricane WR, or at least right up there with Eddie Brown.

I believe if he had a better QBs in his NFL career (and he had a great career, regardless), he could've been in Canton.

Man was so good here and in league. This has been nagging me for years though, did he have a falling out with UM? I never hear him speak or link up or visit anymore
 
I will never forget watching him catch a deep corner route with about 3 second left in the half when we played CCC in '96. They took the L that night, but man was that a fun team to watch from the opposing sideline. They had a band that would JAM too.
 
Two things always stood out to be about Santana; 1. I felt like the QB could take a 3 step drop and heave the ball and Sanatana was already a good 40 yrds down the field waiting on that bih; and 2. Great football spinner. Like he would make the catch and do that lil wrist flick thing and the ball would spin on its point.

I might give ya 200-205 , 210 at most , no way 215. 210 is pushing it. Not sure who it was but I heard an interview years ago where a former player or coach said Marley was in the 190’s during the season. Which made how violent he played more impressive.

Maybe that’s when he was a soph or JR but dude was undersized. Here’s the depth chart , that goes along with the interview. Also rosters enhance sizes.

Players lose a lot of weight during the season , especially at UM.

Moss got snubbed from like 3 pro bowls. His 3rd yr w the Jets he had a helluva yr, and I believe it was back to back seasons in like 08, 09 or 08, 10...Moss had great seasons as well.

I don’t even recall Moss’ QBs w the exception of Brunnell. He & AJ never great QB‘s to play for unlike Waynes and Irvin(g). He put up over 10k yrds, and I agree w @k9cane, he plays on better teams and has a QB worth a ****, he’s vying for Canton.
 
I knew he wore it as a freshman, but I didn't realize he did that much damage wearing 48.
 
Knew he was always fast but WOW, what good hands. Many of his receptions would've been incomplete or an INT except he snatched the ball out of the air.

He bailed out Kenny Kelly so many times. It seemed like every deep ball to him was one where Santana had to come back for and out-manuever defenders to catch
