The fact that Jeff Thomas is the fastest man on the field in every game we play makes you question why the only time we ever throw deep is to Cager! Long kickoff return by Thomas so he rests on 1st down and what do we do, throw a deep ball to Cager who despite overwhelming height does not even know to jump for the ball!

With good coaching and a desire from within Nkosi could be good, the arm strength is so much different from Rosier I do not know how anyone could ever have decided to go into this season with Rosier as the starter, that is just laziness on the coaches involved.
 
How many times did Kosi break from a melting pocket and make a positive play with his legs? I remember at least 4. At best, half of those are sacks with Rosier in the game. Kosi had 38 yards rushing and I think the worst gain of all his carries was the only designed run.

Well, ya see, that's coaching. I totally agree with you! Mark was supposed to evaluate the QB situation. Him and his mini-me.

Here is another guy that knows football, you can tell perry is a little more focused now and the importance of him ballin and leading this team is starting to kick in from a mental standpoint. He has all the tools, the rest is mental and studying, and if he's a winner inside, these loses this year will make him come back with avengence next year. We dont have enuff talented guys on the o-line and our receivers, the good ones are to young. Wont be to long before this offense starts clicking, wont be this year tho, just dont have enuff guys that know the system playing at the same time, which is why it maynot be a good idea to bring in a new oc, id rather these guys get a chance to grow up in this system than, bring in somebody new and everybody will have to start all over again. In this offensive system the plays are there to be made, Ahmon proved that, jt4 has proved that, brevin has proven that, and i said it before they signed that cam davis gone give lingard a run for his money and will probably be better than him.

The davis/lingard combo will be more productive when healthy than the homer/dallas duo. What we are see is flashes now of the offensive potential, that's what young players mostly do, show flashes, as this team matures, the offensive consistency will come, right now, this offensive transition has hit a bump in the road. This probably our last year barring health having a bum o-line talent wise and strength wise.

To be fair, his predictable offense, terrible play calling, and horrendous offensive line have put all of our QBs in a bad spot numerous times. And that is why simply changing out the QB is not a viable solution.

Just think how much better Kosi would have been if we had an offensive live that actually opened holes for running backs and gave him time to see the field.
 
That missed throw to Brevin Jordan was a terrible miss for sure when the game was 14-7

Exactly, i know for sure the guys behind the starters that are redshirting are a way more physical run blocking group, their passing blocking im not sure yet, but the talent has been upgraded on the o-line, ideally the starters next year should be campbell at left tackle, navaugn at left guard, gaynor at center scaife/reed ant right guard, and scaife/herbert at left tackle.
 
Sorry, but I was at the game ... if that’s playing “well” then we have problems. Of the completions he did make, several were terrible Malik type throws that robbed the WR of YAC. And a potential TD that he underthrew. And that no throw to Brevin that everyone is referring to .... Brevin was visibly ****ed on the field and the sideline ... he’s better than Malik, but he is likely not going to be the guy ... not under this staff anyway. He needs real coaching.

He's got all the physical tools you want. I question his ability to read a defence.

That said, yes a good OC would get the most of out his ability to throw the ball.
 
I would still like to see what Jarren can do sooner rather than later, but (admittedly far-from-perfect) Perry impressed me in this game with some urgency, some good scrambling largely due to OL issues, some good passes and reads, and might be actually getting better (unlike Rosier) as he progresses. Let's hope so.

He played just okay but showed a little improvement. Outside of the missed deep ball to a wide open Jordan and the fumble, could have improved a few throws, but he also had some drops as well.

Question- did Richt say that he calls the play and the QB is supposed to throw where the play is designed? I know you keep up with that type of stuff. I thought I remember him saying something along those lines.
