LOL. Butch didn't have to deal with any negative press. He definitely would have failed if social media had been around.

Butch didn't have to deal with negative press

Sports Illustrated didn't call for our program to be dropped or anything. But mean tweets are so much worse than a national publication calling for the program's head.

LOL!!! I guess I need to put sarcasm in bold red print. And as for anyone calling for the death penalty, as I recall about half the sports journalists in the country were saying we should be shut down right after Shapiro broke. I think the thing that amazed me the most about the haters is the way you all have simply dismissed the whole Shapiro fiasco just as soon and it came to an end. The rest of the country is looking here and marveling at Golden holding it together through his first two to three years, much the way Canes fans were, until it was settled. Man do some of you guys have really short memories.

Al Golden - 9 lost scholarships - 20 losses in 4 years
Butch Davis - 34 lost scholarships - 20 losses in 6 years
 
global warming has made the clouds much more difficult today. Butch didnt have to deal with global warming affected clouds. Thems the breaks.
