i want them gone but I'm going to say something to defend them. Multiple times i have brought kids up to them, i have also given them heads up on things. except for one kid, they always followed up asap.

Mind naming names?

no. i dont want prefer to name names. However, i will Coley, Baez, Eric Joseph, and even Golden were on top of things. They might not be great but people thinking they dont try is b.s. as far as recruiting.

Not trying isn't the issue, results are. And they've failed this program miserably.

Not to mention that they've been criticized for failing to show up at local HS games while other coaches outwork them and do a far superior job of building relationships, so effort is absolutely an issue in other areas.

They're a very personable staff.

It's their evaluations that are terrible.

Speaking of which...

Syracuse just got done with their S&C testing this week...

RS Fr. Juwan Dowels #'s
5'10" 182lbs
9 reps of 225
295 max bench
37 reps of 225 on squat
Ran 4.43 (laser) on his first attempt
Ran 4.42 (laser) on his second attempt

And Miami is desperate for Corners.

I'm gonna beat the breaks off this dead horse.

We aren't that desperate as you are making it seem, not to knock the kid but the kids on the roster who dowels possibly might be better than at corner is Ryan Mayes and or maybe Henley. Howard, elder, Burns, Redwine, Jackson are all better. And then they have some talented corners coming in this next class.

Their evaluations are actually pretty good, we see a lot of time where are commits gain tons of other big offers after Miami offers when you think about it

In the pass when I still communicated with them, I can say the same thing. They do work hard. It is the results that suck.

LOL. Dude...

He's a better cover guy than any CB we got, never mind any of the young CB's you mentioned who haven't even stepped on the field yet. Regardless, he's better than anybody else we signed that year at Corner, and that's the point. He'd be our fastest and most gifted CB right now. (We don't have another CB who runs a 4.4 on the laser)

Their evaluations are dog ****. A lot of times recruits gain other big offers? Uh, no, a lot of times we offer kids who have no other impressive offers. (i.e. Dennis Turner instead of Dowels!) Who the **** made that evalution? A kid who's best offer is Akron over a kid who's got offers from TAMU, Clemson, Cincy, Oklahoma, etc?

How many times has this staff offered an "under the radar" kid only for them to come in here and struggle?

Guy probably went to school in upstate NY or PA.

On a serious note, max squat reps of 225?????

I understand that it may sound like I'm being bitter when I bring up certain kids that I coached but I can only use my own personal experiences to express my concerns about Miami's recruiting. It's my "inside" perspective. I'm sure there's plenty of other gifted kids in South Florida that Miami ignored but I can't comment on those players because I don't know their ability. Personally, I know that I've had three "no brainer" type of athletes that were basically ignored by Miami over the last few years. (by "no brainer" I mean kids that were so athletic or gifted that you'd be silly not to recruit them when they're in your backyard) I'm sure other coaches around South Florida have had similar experiences. However, I'm not biased. I know who can play in the ACC and who can't. When you coach a kid and you watch him get recruited/offered by much better programs (and much better coaches) from all around the country while he's being ignored by his local school it kinda makes you scratch your head. Offers from schools like TCU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UCLA, Nebraska, OSU, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Clemson, Pitt (Narduzzi), etc etc etc...but being ignored by Al Golden and the 6-7 Miami Hurricanes? Lmao

Both of my Corners (that Miami ignored) would be the top CB's on our roster right now in terms of measureables. They're both faster and more explosive than anybody we have playing Corner. Moreau is 10 pounds heavier than Burns and at least .15 faster in the forty. (runs a 4.40 laser-timed vs. Burn's mid 4.5 hand-timed) And Dowels is faster and has a better vertical than any 5'10"-5'11" Corner we have right now. (and had much better production in high school) Don't get me wrong, I'm not implying that we should offer Moreau instead of Burns or Dowels instead of Elder, all I'm saying is that they should've been offered instead of Hope, Dortch and Mayes.

If you're gonna sign "under the radar" players then make sure they're the good ones! Make sure they were productive in high school and/or have above average measureables. We're recruiting kids with offers from Akron just cause they're 6'1" and can chew bubblegum while running.

Again, I only bring up my own personal experiences because IMO it's the best perception that I can give people as to why I think Miami's recruiting sucks.

Their evaluation skills are terrible. They don't understand the landscape of South FLA football. They look at kids who ball down here and say "well I don't think he'll translate to the next level." *****, South Florida football is the next level! If you can cover WR's down here, you can cover them anywhere! This ain't fvckin' Jersey.

Hurlie Brown said "Can he play at the University of Miami?"

Ok I'll take that but Miami does have some pretty good corners in Howard, burns and elder. They would be nice additions I'm sure but with the 2016 class coming in I'm satisfied at what we have there.
