Is it just possible that some people on CIS derive far too much of their emotional state and sense of self worth from the results of a game in which they play absolutely no part?
I realize that question steps all over the concept of being a fan, but fan itself is short for fanatic, which means the word was not originally intended to be a compliment. I’m upset about the loss as well. I live in Atlanta and will spend another 12 months hearing about how GTech saved their season again by beating UM. That is very annoying. But that is all it is; annoying. My life did not change one bit and neither have any of your lives.
So relax just a little, maybe go from 100 mph to 65 mph. Hug your families, read some books, do something other than tie up all of your energy into college football. You don’t play, you don’t coach, you aren’t part of the admin or player development staff. You just get to enjoy the entertainment that others provide.
