I'm Here and Miami, with Richt, is back

Cox was lucky he didn't jack up his knee on that opening drive fumble. I think that was the main reason he let go of the ball. Dudes leg bent in a serious way.

It's like Boise state and Oklahoma, you just don't realize you are a division two team and not even North Dakota yet.

And the delusion continues. Beating your mid major team isn't Miami being back. You aren't what you think you are. Have fun in dream land the rest of the way.

This dude is a troll and the game was a joke. It was hilarious when they announced the attendance while the people were bolting out in the 3rd quarter.

App St fans were ****ing pumped. Even watching on TV you could feel the crowd. Pretty awesome.

Miami was the better team but App St made a lot of strange mistakes. I don't see why they shouldn't have a good season. Best of luck.

I have three qualms with this game and haven't had a chance to rewatch:

1. App hasn't been called for a chop block in almost two seasons and two were called this game, both after big runs.
2. The holding call on the Marcus Cox TD run
3. The refs in general not stopping play for defensive substitutions

Other than that, the blown coverages by App are inexcusable and I saw more than one player quit running while the RB was still in the box on the first play that went for a TD. Dudes didn't come ready, took one to the jaw and never recovered.

That said, Miami would've won regardless of those facts and that was clear from the outset. I was interested in seeing how Kaaya would play and if Miami can get some similar defensive coverages to what App showed, you all should be in for a big year with the dig routes, he throws an amazing deep ball.

The crowd was also as boisterous as I've seen in Boone. When the game got to 24-10 the place just came unhinged....and in true Richt fashion, he tells Kaaya to go deep again to shut the crowd up and completes the mission. Miami should have an extremely talented and experienced core of players in two years time that should put you all in play for the playoff. I would say this season could be it but Louisville looks dangerous.

cox clearly fumbled on 1st posession it wasnt called. Redwine clearly had an int and it was called PI.

ACC refs?

what about the PI on Redwine that was a clear interception? The refs are ACC, so it's probably not that home cooking you're used to.

Richt at halftime interview said he would tell the team to "get physical, get nasty." Richt is so refreshing. That is Miami football. "Get physical, get nasty." Not the patty cake of the last few years.

I was concerned for your well being. Glad you're alive. Now go away for 5 years.

Lots of App fans congratulated Miami fans on a good win and a **** solid team. I saw no incidents like you mentioned and only constructive conversations and some kind words exchanged after the game was no longer in doubt.

That said, I had a good time. There was a great atmosphere in Boone and it was a perfect day for football. Miami clearly had the better team and Richt used Miami's strength at receiver to really open up the back end of the defense through bubble screens. Kaaya was honestly amazing, great poise and the best anticipation and deep ball I've seen live (I've been to probably 12 or 13 Panthers games the past three years and while Cam throws a nice ball, Kaaya's was graceful and nearly perfect every single time).

It's a shame that Cox got hurt on a TD that was called back, otherwise, had that play stood I imagine he would've had close to 175 yards rushing today based on the way the running game opened up in the second quarter. It wouldn't have affected the outcome of the game and clearly Miami was the better team and should be the favorite in the ACC of Louisville falls off.

Looking forward to seeing Miami compete and get back that U feeling you get when you see Sapp and Irving sporting orange.

Good luck on the rest of the season!

We don't need luck we are NFL U

I have three qualms with this game and haven't had a chance to rewatch:

1. App hasn't been called for a chop block in almost two seasons and two were called this game, both after big runs. Saw one chop block. It was easily seen and the correct call. Didn't see the second one.
2. The holding call on the Marcus Cox TD run The WR was holding on for dear life. He literally tried to throw our DB.
3. The refs in general not stopping play for defensive substitutions If the offense does not substitute, the ref's do not have to allow the defense to do so. Only if the offense brings in subs, do they hold the offense for the defense to do so.

As far as the officials, IMHO, I thought they did a good job (even though they missed the fumble and called PI on Redwine's INT). If you ever watched a Ron Cherry officiating crew in ACC play, you would understand why that is being said.

Thank god we have such above the fray forgiving fans. I'll remember next time I feel the need to **** all over every thread on the board for a week straight all I have to do is show up in a still delusional but respectful way and I'll get your up vote and white knighting.

Ericsaid is much better than the d-bag gator Ihatethisplace who is constantly popping up and shooting his mouth off. Our last coach even had an effect on the opposing fans. Our days keep getting better. Future is bright.

Go Canes!

That was a hold and it was a chop block, about the subs if im not mistaken if the offense doesnt sub they dont stop the ball for the defense to sub
Yeah the subs were all on App St. If anything I remember the one play Richt going nuts because they held the ball when they shouldn't have. Miami wasn't subbing.

All were penalties and you had a free gift with the fumble.

1. No comment, those were chop blocks.

2. But for the hold, there is no TD.

3. You don't have the right to a substitution on any play. You only have the right to a substitution if the offense subs. Your genius coaches and players apparently had no clue about this rule. So if the offense isn't subbing and is moving the ball quickly, it is difficult for the defense to sub.

How about the INT that we had but it was called a PI instead? That was another fun gift you guys got.
