Lots of App fans congratulated Miami fans on a good win and a **** solid team. I saw no incidents like you mentioned and only constructive conversations and some kind words exchanged after the game was no longer in doubt.

That said, I had a good time. There was a great atmosphere in Boone and it was a perfect day for football. Miami clearly had the better team and Richt used Miami's strength at receiver to really open up the back end of the defense through bubble screens. Kaaya was honestly amazing, great poise and the best anticipation and deep ball I've seen live (I've been to probably 12 or 13 Panthers games the past three years and while Cam throws a nice ball, Kaaya's was graceful and nearly perfect every single time).

It's a shame that Cox got hurt on a TD that was called back, otherwise, had that play stood I imagine he would've had close to 175 yards rushing today based on the way the running game opened up in the second quarter. It wouldn't have affected the outcome of the game and clearly Miami was the better team and should be the favorite in the ACC of Louisville falls off.

Looking forward to seeing Miami compete and get back that U feeling you get when you see Sapp and Irving sporting orange.

I have three qualms with this game and haven't had a chance to rewatch:

1. App hasn't been called for a chop block in almost two seasons and two were called this game, both after big runs.
2. The holding call on the Marcus Cox TD run
3. The refs in general not stopping play for defensive substitutions

Other than that, the blown coverages by App are inexcusable and I saw more than one player quit running while the RB was still in the box on the first play that went for a TD. Dudes didn't come ready, took one to the jaw and never recovered.

That said, Miami would've won regardless of those facts and that was clear from the outset. I was interested in seeing how Kaaya would play and if Miami can get some similar defensive coverages to what App showed, you all should be in for a big year with the dig routes, he throws an amazing deep ball.

The crowd was also as boisterous as I've seen in Boone. When the game got to 24-10 the place just came unhinged....and in true Richt fashion, he tells Kaaya to go deep again to shut the crowd up and completes the mission. Miami should have an extremely talented and experienced core of players in two years time that should put you all in play for the playoff. I would say this season could be it but Louisville looks dangerous.

Good on you to own up but you are delusional if you think Cox would have run for 175. You are assuming that the Canes would have made zero defensive adjustments. Also the hallmark of this defense so far is that they hit hard. Might as well project that cox would have been knocked out at some point later in the game. Most likely he runs for 95-100 yards until app state realizes there is no point in leaving him in the game to take a beating when you have the sun belt conference to worry about. Also regarding not stopping the clock for defensive substitutions, do you actually know the rules? If the offense subs, defense gets chance to sub, if offense doesn't sub defense doesn't get extra time. Miami wasn't subbing. That is why the Canes were always going to win, app state does not have the depth to stand up to a hurry up offense with players the size and speed of Miami. It's called good coaching

this was Cherry reffing the game, for all we know those "chop blocks" we're just typical holding or block in the back. That dude gets confused when saying ****.

But if your RB isn't out too long you will probably win most of your games this year. Really gotta improve the pass game though, specifically the receivers. They can't catch or get open.

The holding call was obvious. He locked him up and didn't let go.

App St also fumbled on the opening drive, but the refs decided forward progress was stopped AFTER they reviewed it. The PI call on the interception before the half was also a bad call.

2. I know you were at the stadium, so it might have been hard to see. Watch the replay and you'll see the hold that sprung him. There was also a massive clipping penalty that wasn't called that helped keep the lane open.
