I'm even more confident now - Pate picked against us!

Kind of reminds me of Corso when we were good and he couldn't help but pick against us and then would get it wrong almost every time. Pate isn't hostile towards us, but he is an old school SEC true believer, which means he's genetically predisposed to going against us.

I think we win: Miami 31 - TAMU 24.

He actually supports and picks Miami a lot. He wavered between Miami and A&M - but the hostile crowd is what got him - and he said he’s not betting a nickel because it can go either way.

Wait until we win and he’ll show a text to his friend he sent before kick-off saying he actually predicts Miami. lol he did that earlier this year for the OSU-Michigan game.

I like Pate but he always hedges his predictions so much theyre almost worthless

Facts! Facts are worthless when it comes to the "us against the world" narrative. But keep fighting the good fight. I'm with you all the way.

Most (most, not all) people are picking A&M except Miami fans. I can understand we're going into their house in a hostile environment against a very talented team, but they have not faced a defense as good as ours this season, nor have they faced an offensive line as good as ours? We just need another WR on offense to step up just a little, protect Beck don't turn it over, and I think we win.

Honestly, I like it when everyone picks against us. I like it when we’re hated. I’m not saying that’s what Pate is doing, but that’s just part of being a Miami Hurricane. Let them pick against us. Bring on the hate. Who cares

The SEC is crazy. These guys were down 30-3 at home to a 5 win team and won by 1 point but it's just brushed aside and not used in any discussions as to whether or not A&M can win. Miami loses in OT to an 8-4 team on the road and it's, "GLARING FLAW IN MIAMI!" And the A&M game was two weeks after Miami's SMU loss.

Bama gets torched by FSU and it's never even brought up with their playoff resume. Louisville destroys a Kentucky team that lost by 3 to Texas and 7 to Ole Miss and I have not heard a word about it. Clemson beats the same USCe team by 14 that was absolutely handling A&M and it's never talked about. A&M got extremely lucky on a missed PAT and a 4th down TD with seconds left to the same Notre Dame team Miami handled for 3 quarters and it's not a discussion point.

Eventually the aura of the SEC will break apart.

Everyone wants to talk about the ACC fumbling their title game but no one wants to bring up that Bama wasn’t a deserving SEC 1 seed in a 4 way tie. The whole reason Bama was even in the playoff was because they snuck into the title game they didn’t deserve to be in. That game should have been UGA vs Ole Miss/A&M and Bama should have been slotted behind ND BYU and MIami in the rankings once they stubbed their toe against Oklahoma and looked like **** against Auburn. But since they ended up being the 1 seed 8n the SEC they were propped up.
