Initially I was not going share this because I know too many fans live in a fantasy world and can't handle the truth (non pun intended). I was at a 7 on 7 practice with some of top recruits in the Tampa Area. After the practice my boy told them I was a Canes fans and that we used to be on the sidelines back in the day. I asked the guys point blank about their thoughts on the Canes and the staff. Here is some of their responses from about 10 mins of jabber:

1. Miami the ****, but program kinda lame compared to other places
2. Coaches ain't no good and you can tell it when you talk to them and all the other schools tell you that about them
3. More people at my HS game
4. They still live in the past
5. Al Golden acts like a preacher with all that stuff he be talking about. Kinda strange for a football coach.
6. When you talk to the players you can tell some of them not happy and don't like the coach
7. A lot of guys would go there if they were winning and had good coaches
8. They can't beat teams like Duke and GT so you know they sorry
9. Other schools got all the things that show you they serious about football. Not impressed with Miami's facilities. Nice, but not much better than USF.

Need an indoor practice facility a **** of a lot more than we need lights on the ******* practice field.

**** the University of Miami

Thanks for dumbing down the comments to make this whole post look ridiculous.

Why make fun of the way he's talking? That's the same way all the players you cheer for talk.

Because most of our fans have been turned into elitist pricks, just like the administration of UM

Thanks for the info OP. Some of the soft shoulders still can't handle the truth.

Still all bull**** though...elite recruits are great and all, but you have to actually develop them...we have more talent than most of the teams in the top 25, we just don't do anything with the talent. Louisville, Duke, GT, Virginia, and even some SEC teams don't have our talent. Good coaches develop that talent though and if we do that, you'll see how little all that other bull**** really matters

I can see it now. Golden enters a recruit's home and talks about building pillars, trusting the process, bringing in a DJ during workouts, and sitting back waiting on opponents to make mistakes while Jimbo enters the same home and talks about attacking, winning, and what it takes to get to the NFL and how he will get them there

Did you include the improper grammar to try to reinforce your bullshat?

Tried to type it like they said it! It was before the season started during the 7 on 7 tournaments. They had a lot more to say, but what recruits actually think is less important than what you want to believe. FYI I have a MBA from USF since 1989.

And even with aaaaaaalll that we still have more draftable players than the average. Tells you something right?
