You better have **** near elite Special Teams.

Lost in the offensive ineptitude is just how terrible Special Teams have been (another trademark of Richts btw).

You can't coach to not lose of you have shifty punting, conservative returns, and missed extra points.

FWIW I don’t agree that Richt coaches scared. He’s been aggressive enough especially on 4th downs that I don’t think I would call it fear.

Ineptitude. Senility. Confusion. Yes.

But probably not fear.

His entire “game plan” is an example of
Scared coaching. Going for it on 4th down is more a function of his punting than aggression.

Fair enough but I don’t agree.

His game plan is a lack of knowledge, not fear. Just my opinion though.

I can see your angle, but you have to admit it's merely your interpretation of his calls. How scared can you coach when you start a 5th year baseball player

That missed blocked punt by that Duke kid defied the laws of physics.

Gotta agree here.. that one drive where we kinda gave up into that 40 yard field goal was embarrassing

Yeh, it’s def not fear. I think some of the 4th down attempts have been borderline recklessness. Thank god duke called a to yesterday on the the 4th quarter attempt. The FSU one rifht before the half also was reckless, as was the uva(?) one. If his play calling wasn’t so feckless those 4th down calls wouldn’t be necessary.
