If we miss ACCCG + CFP, it will come back to one decision (SMU game)

Anyone blaming Mario for SMU loss does not understand football. Simple as that.

Before you get to the absolute screwjob by the incompetent ACC refs you had JoJo Drop/INT/TD sequence that was absolute gut punch.

You had Lofton TD drop before halftime cost you 4 points. Right there is the win. Make 2 plays ball in hands win game.

Then you get to the refs.

Call Miami for every movement pre snap, but FAIL to call SMU for starting kick step early. It allows them to get in pass block set quicker to help nuetralize Miami's biggest strength, DE pass rush.

Multiple late hits by SMU after play never called.

Toney gets hit early on 3rd down no call. Toney gets tackled in open field during route, no call.

The strip sack fumble would have given Miami ball inside SMU's 10 yard line. SMU goes on to score a TD, BAD CALL.

Then late even with all that disaster, our drops and refs calls or no calls, Miami still has a chance to ice game with ball late, Marion goes right past CB, he gets held, they not only pick it up, they flag Mauigoa on a hold that wasnt a hold! Terrible calls.

Even with ALL of THAT, Miami still has chance to win and Lightfoot gets called for that HORSECRAP call when he tries to hold QB up. They never in a million years call that on UGA, Alabama, Utah(other night), Ohio State, in their own conferences.
That game should not have been close. We were not prepared to play. That is on Mario.

Lol. We are 128th out of 136 teams in seconds per play. That is where it comes from. It is a statistical fact that we run one of the slowest offenses in the country.

Yeah, we really need to speed things up.

Team actually showed up to play and looked like we were about to start pulling away and then JoJo dropped that pass that lead to a quick SMU TD and all of a sudden the whole team collapsed. Coaching. Players. Everybody. Mario probably panicked and everybody reflected him.

Soft.

And right there with the #1 and #2 teams in the country. Maybe "up tempo" isn't the flex everyone thinks it is.

Stop diverting. You said we didn't play at a snails pace. We do, stop your bull****.

And you know why Indiana and Ohio State can get away with playing at a snails pace genius? Because Indiana is 4th in the country in team penalties, while Ohio State is 8th.

You will only succeed playing that **** slow, if you play mistake free football. They do, we don't.

Anyone who understands even the slightest about this games knows you are putting yourself at a huge disadvantage playing as slow as we do.

It's not a "snail's pace". Maybe if people could communicate without hyperbole, things would go a little smoother.

Look at your own post. You admit that we make more mistakes than other teams, so your solution is "get to the line faster!!!".

But it's hilarious that you only picked out two teams in that list. The best offenses in the country just play their offense. Once again, it's 100% about execution, not panicking and trying to play faster.

Those ******** don’t play mistake free football. I watch the games OSU is the literal polar opposite of Miami they get the call every god**** time. It’s the most frustrating watch ever because they are so used to getting bull**** their way that when it finally gets called straight and not blatantly in their favor they throw a fit and act like , it’s all rigged. I told my wife one time if they called just one game the way Miami is officiated in the ACC the Buckeyes would burn down B1G headquarters.

I mean, you can't argue with obvious data, so your go-to strategy is "ur dumb".

Nah,you said we don't play at a snails pace. You were proven wrong in a second.

Than I showed you the only playoff team highly penalized is A&M. The rest are all in the top quarter of least penalized teams.

Again, you are just dumb and don't understand even the basics of this game.

The only playoff teams who is highly penalized is A&M. The rest are all in the top quarter of least penalized teams.

Serious question, and I am not trying to be a ****. If we speed up for more plays, won't that mean more penalties?

Sorry, you can blames refs on everything you want. They are one of the least penalized teams in the country. At the end of the day, however it happens, penalties are not causing issues for them.

What's the logic behind that?

Going at a snails pace has caused us to be one of the most penalized teams already. Maybe we try something different?

I don't see the correlation. I think that's coaching, and Mario apparently can't fix it; he needs to find someone who can.

I don't see a correlation with moving faster, means potentially more penatlies.

But right on that he can't fix the most penalized unit on the team, his own OL. Pretty sad.

Watch the games. When Smith motions he turns up field early every ******* time it’s like the ******* arena league. While if our te drifts a **** hair north as he passes the guard on his motion we get flagged.

You can't be slower. I said the only highly penalized team in the playoff is A&M. Everyone else is in the top quarter of least penalized teams from your list.

Again, you can say they miss calls. Point is, they don't get penalized. Meaning, those mistakes don't derail there drives. Meaning, they can play at a slow pace and succeed, because that is the only way you can get away playing that slow without putting yourself at a disadvantage.
