Nah, they didn't **** Bama last year. Bama never should have been ranked that high (#11) by the committee to begin with. Clemson winning thwarted their plans. They actually tried their hardest to get Bama in. Once the undeserving Clemson won the ACCCG and claimed the automatic ACC champs spot, they realized how biased they would look putting Bama in over 3-4 teams well more deserving than Bama.

I just looked at flights and hotels from the east coast to Eugene Oregon for the weekend of the first round. That’s a long trip for 3-4 day weekend.

Bama better ratings against who? Compared to potential Miami vs Oregon with the Mario angle, Miami vs Georgia with Beck angle, Miami vs ND with h2h angle?

We’ll see … and by the way I am older than you! But I can see we are in the modern day era of football of ratings and tv dollars not living off of ghosts of Knute Rockne and John McKay . LOL

Don’t want either of these matchups those three are arrow up. Give me Oklahoma, Texas tech, the G5 team. Not that any of that’s possible of course.

But Oklahoma is terrible on offense. We’d only need to score about 24-27 to win. Tech I think we match up well.

They are twisting their own metrics to keep us out. That tells me all I need to know about how dangerous they feel we really are. ND has no good wins, but two great losses. Alabama has 4 ranked wins, but a terrible loss to FSU. Miami has two losses, by a combined 9 points, to teams with a combined 15-7 record. One loss was in OT, so that's tied at the end of regulation. Oh, and if we beat Pitt, that will be our 4th win over a ranked team. Also, SMU is now ranked, so one of our losses is even better now.

So yeah, they know full well Miami is good enough to be in. They are just twisting their own logic to keep us out.

My concern is I can't remember the last time we won a game like this with something, anything, on the line. It's been a very. very long time. We magically turn into football's version of the old Globetrotter whipping boys, the Washington Generals.

But me, a person who lives in reality, doesn’t believe they are purposefully keeping us out bc “we’re dangerous.”

Explain the pretzel they twist themselves into to keep us out. They don't want us in. Why Not? It's sure not for lack of TV ratings, as we'd be a bigger national draw than half the field. It's not for lack of good wins. It's not even because we have "bad" losses. We don't. They can categorize them as such, but they're lying.

So, why are they so hellbent on keeping us out?

Sure. They just happen to be the only group of people who disregard head to head, and only use the "Good losses" "Good wins" to hurt Miami, not anyone else.

I mean idk how many times I have to repeat what the committee said on Tuesday. They think ND is better. The explicitly said that. Out loud for the whole world to hear.

What you, me, or anybody thinks doesn’t matter. Y’all wanna argue with me about this like I have a say in what happens. I’m simply relaying the message that has been made clear by them.
 
The only way we pass the Irish is if they lose and we win. We need two losses in front of us, and to look good tomorrow if Chaos happens behind us. For an at large bid, Ole Miss winning makes that unlikely. We need two of TT, Alabama, Oklahoma, Notre Dame to lose. We are likely cooked there. We are probably down to needing VT and Wake. Most likely we are going to the pop tart or Gator bowl.

Just need 1 team to lose. The committee will bump BYU for Miami if they lose in the Big 12 championship game.

Auburn over bama
LSU over OU
Maybe even Washington over Oregon

Just need one.

The spot we could lose out to is an automatic bid by ACC and G5 champion. If the auto bids were not there they are basically saying we are in top 12.

Not reading the whole thread but unless someone in front of us losses (maybe need two) then even if we beat Pitt by 50 we're not getting in.
