If the coastal is out of reach

No. Golden will not be terminated mid-season. The on-field results are meaningless to the morons at UM. The only angle I can see that might get pyrite fired is the fact that his APR has dropped every year since he's arrived. (That's right; Randy Mumbles Shannon had higher graduation rates than Mr. Blue Eyes himself). But even this would likely require UM to have to wait until next June, so it's a moot point within the context of this season.

He'll be fired the day Duke or UNC are officially awarded the Coastal.

And if Pitt wins it ... Blake James has to be fired, too!

... Blake spouting off about coaching continuity, and a 1st year HC wins the division? Blake would have to go with Golden!

Is there a site that's running statistical odds that Miami wins Coastal? I have to think after the loss to FSU, our odds are <50%.

Probably far less than 50%. Pitt, Duke, UNC all undefeated in ACC plus they don't need to play Clemson and FSU.

But the situation is more dire than that. Since we've lost to FSU, Pitt, Duke and UNC all have a game to give so long as they beat Miami. VT and Virginia in the same situation only they've already lost to Pitt. Miami with two losses to Clemson and FSU is practically a gimme game for the other Coastal teams save for Georgia Tech who is basically already eliminated.

Unofficial, unscientific ranking of the Coastal is really Pitt, Duke, UNC, VT, Virginia, Miami, GT.

Miami loses to VT and we're basically out already.

Its not the "politically correct" thing to do.

Also, this coaching staff is so bad that firing Golden guarantees we lose the rest of our games.

If Golden is fired, Dnofrio will be gone as well. We literally have nobody that can run the defense.

Let Ice install a 4-3. ***c it

I want all of the Jersey ***c bois outa here now.

we wont be mathematically eliminated from the coastal until we lose at least 3 ACC games I would imagine. and if those are the next 2 games, then we still likely wont be eliminated that early in the season.

it is plainly obvious to anyone with a functioning brain that we arent winning the coastal

blake james doesnt have a big enough sack to can golden in the middle of the season he makes buddy buddy with everyone and means zero business

They're going to give him every chance to provide them with a reason to retain him. The Coastal is a steaming sack of buttcheeks, so even with Golden being a fat loser, it make take a while to be eliminated as every other retarded progrum takes turns puking on itself and losing games to each other.

When we're finally eliminated, I have a feeling they'll let him finish out the year. The A.D. is too gutless and light in the loafers to fire him, they'll view it as mean or label it "workplace bullying" or something equally g@y. We'll have to wait until the season ends to bid this walrus farewell.

Agree with the first paragraph. Not sure I agree with the second. I do think Blake will give him every opportunity to try and save his job. Even if we are mathematically eliminated after we lose to Vtech and Clemson..I still think Blake will hang onto the fact that we can still be bowl eligible if we win 3 more games and give Al that respect.

BUT if we go on a 4-5 game losing streak..(which is VERY possible..we are at 2 now..If we lose to VT/Clemson/Duke..he could very well be going into that UVA game coaching not to get fired the next day.)...And under this scenario, I think there is no way in **** Blake could let him finish the season.

The morale around the program would be too much to bare even for Blake. It wouldnt be worth it. How embarassing would it be to the adminstration to have literally 2,000 people at the Gtech game for the final home game? It would be a funeral.

Someone should ask Flake if he'd wait until his meal was over to complain if he found a rat's head in his appetizer. Kinda sad that he has 80 kids and whatever remains of the fanbase sitting at the table with him.

The buyout has nothing to do with it.

Blake wants to send Golden off respectfully. Also, this team will literally lose every game if Dnofrio and Golden are fired.

They're going to lose every game with them too. We're stuck between a rock and a hard place. We already knew this season was going to be a waste. Might as well start the search and get ready for next year.

Will the admin and Flake pull the trigger on Al?

I agree that so long as we have a realistic possibility of winning the ACC coastal, you gotta keep Foldo only because when you fire a head coach you are essentially packing it in, especially with the incompetent interim head coach candidates.

I don't buy that "evaluation at the end of the season" bvll**** either because Blake James can't be that naive. He should know that he would need to get a jump on the many coaching candidates that there will be come December 1st. So, once we are eliminated from the coastal mathematically, I think they will can him and begin the search process.

What do you guys think?

The coastal and a chance to appear in the ACC game may be over already. To get there we must beat clemson. Then we would need Duke, UNC and Pitt to lose one game and for us to beat them for the tie breaker.

100% that Al Golden is not coaching Miami next year.

I agree, I can't wait to see what we can do next year in the ACC with that D-Line, the next coach (hopefully Hue Jackson) has to hope Grace comes back, he will be the key to the defense.

Firing Day is 47 away.
