If Tate Martell starts....

We won't have "the guy" at QB as long as pEnos and his defensive friendly offensive scheme is in miami.

If this coaching staff had any sense they would have already told Jarren to hit the Portal. He would have no chance of ever starting on this team again.

If Tate shows up I would ride with him going into next season with no thought of another bs QB competition. If Tate looks suspect in the game, I’m starting Tyler Van Dyke as a true freshman as soon as fall camp begins and everybody else can either gtfoh or compete for 2nd string.

I'd like to see what he can do in live action but if the spring game is any barometer of his skills I'm not holding my breath or expecting much at all

I have to ask what makes everyone think that if martell starts the offense will be better.same hc,oc,ol,wrs,rbs so why is the offense going to all a sudden be 🌎world beaters.you can perfume,disguise **** all you want it's still ****.
 
Can someone please just dig up the draws. They are still in the front yard.

Tate starting would just solidify they are not coaching very well. He may be able to survive better than perry and williams with this really poorly coached O Line we have. They really need to win and I dont think it is a given victory. This team has 0 motivation when practicing, looks like they are in slow motion
 
Who the f--- knows? We haven't seen a blip of the guy playing QB, not even a red zone package using his supposedly elite running ability. If he is expected run the same offense we did with Jarren and N'kosi, he'd likely look like crap.
 
One game doesn't prove anything, but if Tate steps in to this game after the following and lights it up:

1. Getting pushed out at OSU
2. Not getting meaningful reps at QB at Miami
3. Switching to receiver
4. Missing a few games
5. Being away from the team for a few weeks.

Then you definitely give him a look over Jarren and Perry to start next spring.

Agreed because bowl games are meaningless and no one game should crown any of these guys as the future. I want him to play just to see what we have with this kid. We know what we have with the other 2 and neither are consistent enough to bring us a championship (which used to be the goal around here).
 
As others have noted, doing against La Tech is meaningless.

He's a reserve until he shows that he can be productive against the upper echelon of college football; You know, teams like Ga Tech, Duke, UNC and FIU. Then he can be considered a potential starter.
