If Perry could mature, why not Jarren?

BIG difference between off the field issues versus leadership on the field. Just recently: Jameis Winston and Johnny Manziel knuckleheads off the field but a different breed on it. Jarren Williams didn't show leadership on the field one time this season. The only time he wasn't pouting like a little ***** was against FSU and Louisville. Kosi for all his flaws has shown he can provide a spark and leadership on the field. He cares and you can see that, Jarren not so much. I can't stomach watching Jarren's attitude after a 3 and out this season. Get him out of my face.

Prior to last year we called Perry everything but a child of god and then applauded him on his growth this season. Is it unreal to believe that Jarren could do the same? I can't ignore the games he had against UF, @UNC, @FSU, @Pitt, and Louisville. He had some awful games as well, but I for one am not in a hurry to see him go and think it says something about his maturity that he is staying despite all the criticism.
Perry's game didn't get any better.

Perry's "growth" was literally relegated to not being a complete moron on social media. On-the-field, there as little growth. Still erratic and seemed to have hit his ceiling. Couldn't beat out Rosier in 2018, couldn't beat out Williams in 2019. Don't expect anything from him moving forward, as his football IQ seems limited—seemingly relying on natural talent, opposed to being a nose-in-the-playbook, gym-rat kind of guy.

Williams' also suffers from a lack of maturity in that he's soft. 13 months ago he was whining about transferring because he didn't get to start as a true freshman. End of this season, cryptic "don't know what you got til it's gone" type IG stories—on the heels of his late season regression and venom from the fan base (came off like a thinly-veiled, "I still might transfer and then you'll really miss me" moment.)

CAN Williams grow up? Sure. Especially with a new offensive coordinator that doesn't look to be the same oil versus water dynamic he had with Enos. That should make him a better player on the field—but the inability to deal with adversity can't be taught. Kid thought ht was hot **** when he was lighting up Florida State and Louisville, but went deer-in-headlights against FIU, was useless again Duke and completely disinterested against Louisiana Tech.

If he doesn't grow some heart and balls, Tyler Van Dyke is gonna take the job from his *** come fall. Book it.

Don't fall for the "QB room" excuse, it's just another scapegoat for Manny's utter incompetence.

Uf game when we were down early and scored 13 straight didn’t show leadership or a spark?

down 17-3vs unc and Williams didn’t show leadership or a spark when we came back and was up 25-20 with 4 minutes left or so?

funny who people credit in terms of providing a spark and who they don’t. Perry certainly provided a spark in that va tech game but where else in the season?

He won the Virginia game on that final drive basically by himself. Tremendous leadership on that final score against UVA. LOL at Williams in the other 2 games you mentioned. L against UF L against UNC. I'll give you his attitude was better those first 2 games but after that it was non existent.

Big difference in the performances of the defense in the uva game where they allowed 9 points while allowing uva to get in the endzone 5 times compared to how they played vs uf and unc. Night and day. Had the defense played like they did the first 2 games we lose that game with Perry playing too vs uva🤷🏾‍♂️

Can't argue that at all. I do disagree that Williams provided any spark or leadership this season. If things aren't going his way he shuts down. Terrible trait for a Redshirt freshman starting QB

How long are you gonna ride this one out? Jarren is not the guy. I’m sorry you were so sold on him. He will never be the player you think he will be.

Just stating facts, let’s get that clear. He may not be the guy, finished the season terrible for sure but I’m not going to write him off either. We will see what happens with all the qbs on the roster. Hope we see improved and more consistent play from everyone

These are kids. Kids change, kids grow up. Obviously all of the quarterbacks on the roster has the talent to be successful.

Because LAST season was the one to show maturity. I'm still not a fan of N'Kosi on the field but he at least stepped up off the field. If anything Jarren regressed on that front.

Now we want to give Jarren a THIRD season to stop the pouting, the b!tching through relatives and high school QB corches and constant threats to transfer?

Both immature but in different ways. A lot of guys on this board have probably been the type of immature Kosi was. Jarren not so much. Dude is a loser and is soft. As much criticism as Kosi got no one ever called him soft or weak minded.

I don't want to take the time to see if Jarren can mature. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.
I don’t even no why we comparing these when it comes to be immature kosi was doing things that caused him to be suspended and hurting the team Jarren just had an up and down season doeymean he’s immature just mean he may not be good or just young and still learning , do you reason the QBs on this roster is going to be on their 3rd OC , Richt, Enos now Rhett

They do not..............talent is one thing.
Using it and learning the playbook is another.
The record reflects little or no change in game or attitude.......for both, and we need QB's that really want it...
They are still searching for "it"....

Simple has this, MIAMI HURRICANES need a breath of fresh air at the QB position. It's tiring, bring us new blood. I'm willing to start from scratch. ENOUGH of these bozos.

You tell the young men: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Bring fear in the equation. This is football. We are not in the business too pamper them.
