If no Zion, who plays Left Tackle?

This may sound controversial. Granted this was mid 90's. But even at DHS in CA. Our stud rb/fb was hit with that needle after an injury. ****, shot up once at half, but that's a painkiller.

If you wonder, he ran for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns one game. Davis High. He had a career ahead....

Anyways.

Say, if it's not illegal, why aren't our players on top shelf "legal" stuff to recover? There are supplements and treatments that even naturally are pretty good.

The Pro's recover pretty fast most of the time. The U is a big time College team.

Botched surgery
This could have some answers.

Yes. Not sure if it’s the same doctors each time. Would love to hear more about it from someone in the know. Zion and citizen both never healed. Then you add in all the neck injuries and stuff. Not sure what’s up with our medical staff or lack thereof
Are we really questioning UHealth of all places?

Samson or McCoy or if Rivers kicks outside then Cooper could possibly be the second guard along with Cohen
Cooper is already in line to be the starting RG. The 1st team OL for the Spring game before the pre game injuries in warmups was.

LT Rivers
LG Cohen
C. Lee
RG Cooper
RT Mauigoa.

Now since the OP wants us to replace Rivers at LT I would either get Cohen ready at LT since he is battle tested or maybe Okunlola or McCoy may be ready to go.

I rather rivers play inside as well but we have to stop hanging on to one spring game man lol i know thats all we have seen but im sure there is a reason he’s there. Let him get more reps and see how he looks when the games start, it’s not a easy shift u make in a month or two of spring lol

1. Its not recovery, its just pushing pain back to a later date and then making it worse. 2. I'd be surprised if Miami doesn't (ab)use the same kind of medicine other teams are (ab)using.

I won't advocate using this kind of stuff, like ever. There comes a point where it gets a bit extreme. Brett Favre had a painkiller addiction and Gronk had to use painkillers for horses at some point for his back. There is a level that you don't want to overstep.

As for healing processes, we have to take a look as to why we have such struggles getting players up to pace after knee injury. There's a surgery part and a rehab part and that rehab part has been an issue way before Mario and his crew stepped foot on here. Obviously we don't know the extent of the injuries, if Citizens tear was that bad, he's a young kid, you don't want to push boundaries here.

The difference between the NFL and CFB is that the NFL allows you to have surgery wherever you want. We, on the other hand, are tied to the doctors we have. However, that doesn't even prevent the pros from having issues with staph infections, like the Browns infamously had that led to two retirements, a bunch of lawsuits and some life-threatening situations.
