If Miami played LSU next weekend..

So in your humble opinion Rick has QB1 figured out adequately?

I'll never understand how the standards we as fans and the program as a whole have disintegrated so shockingly over the last 15 years.

BELIEVE WHAT YOU WANT, BUT KAAYA DIDN’T LEAVE ON HIS OWN...CMR KNEW WHAT HE HAD TO WORK WITH COMING IN WITH KAAYA & ROSIER AND WHAT HE WANTED GOING FORWARD...ROSIER STAYING WAS PRETTY MUCH HIS ONLY OPTION FOR PLAYING TIME AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR WITH KAAYA GONE...AND HE’S RIDIN’ THIS HORSE AS FAR AS IT WILL CARRY HIM...

ARE YOU JAMES JACKSON'S OTHER BROTHER?

Syracuse almost beat LSU last year
Syracuse beat Clemson, I guess by your logic, Miami shouldn't have lost so bad to Clemson. Show me something that will convince me that Miami won't struggle against teams they should dominate next season.

Because I haven't seen enough offensively to even START to think we can compete consistently. Which is why I said that I'm not overlooking LSU.

Jarren Williams coming in and looking a bit sharper mechanically than Rosier (RsSr) and Perry (RsFr) is alarming. I’m on the JW train.

You haven’t seen enough from the offense? I will turn that around and say I am more concerned with The D than The O.

With the right QB The O will be okay. We gave up a ton of points at the end of the season and we were a healthy unit. I can’t say the same about the O however.

Look Malik is a good kid and you want to root from him. You can’t coach accuracy and his is abhorrent. I don’t want to see Malik start next season but question can the others beat him out?

But Who would win the game? Or does the QB choice change the outcome
No idea. I think LSU has its problems, starting with Ol Ed. As long as he is HC, I think they'll pull in decent talent and have 8 and 9 win seasons. As others have mentioned, they have no identity on offense. Miami SHOULD win this game, but Murphys Law has an obsession with the team

Rosier would get the nod.
Perry would be too much of a liability vs. LSU in an away game.
I almost get nauseous feeling that way, KNOWING Rosier was such a liability for the team last season.

I was so fed up last season with Rosier, I didn't care if Deejay ran the offense out of the wildcat the entire game.

I still am not confident in Rosier, make no mistake about it. I just think that if today is any indication of what we're facing going into the Fall — Rosier less than impressive, Perry at his heels but unable to separate himself from Rosier — Rosier has to start in game 1.

If it was Bethune-Cookman, and the QB battle was this close, Miami could afford to go with Perry.

But there doesn't seem to be enough upside there to start him (AS IS) vs. LSU. I am really disgruntled even fathoming this scenario. I know how handicapped Miami is with Rosier leading the offense. If Perry can't separate from Rosier is virtually any phase of the game, that tells me all I need to know about the state of affairs with this offense.

My only hope now, is that either Perry or Williams make great strides going into the fall, and are far better than today's spring game. Ideally, I wanted Williams to redshirt. But if he shows progress, while Rosier and/or Perry remain stagnant, I say let him lead.

But right now -
Rosier 🤮😷
Perry 🤔
Williams 👶-🧒-TBD

We sure?

What concerns you at all from the defensive side? Depth is concerning but you can't look at the defensive line, now without big time contributors, and see there's no drop-off?

With the offensive line being in disarray, the offense will not be 'okay' in any sense of the word. This is a HUGE problem right now

Did you not read the rest of my post? I even said myself I know how much of a liability Rosier was for the offense last season.

But Perry hasn't shown anything to suggest he would come in, without any collegiate snaps, and do as much / more than Rosier.

If Perry was even equalling Rosier stat wise, it would be a different story.

I would really like to see him with the first team - see what he can do. He will pick up the plays - he has the poise and confidence. I hope that happens soon.

Start Williams no matter what. Who cares let him take his licks. We aren’t winning a national title this year lets face it. Redshirts are a thing of the past. Good players are only staying 3 yes NMW.

Having named all of your starters by the spring is the standard you’re expecting? The standard at Miami is competition at all positions. Sweet agenda though, it’s not obvious at all.
