IF Kiffin or Cristobal or Other, Are any current staff retained?

Really depends on who the head coach is bringing with him. It’s possible a few position coaches get retained but who knows? I’m curious what the retention rate is on coaches from failed staffs.

Because his rep is more as a recruiter than a coach. He’s put guys in the league but has also had some terrible defenses. He was a dud as a DC.
 
Like lash and he works well well with Likens....but again no one really deserves to be on board nor does anyone on the defensive side be judged for the lack of defense manny callled. Patke and them can kick rocks
 
Mario apparently liked Lashlee enough to try and hire him at Oregon. Suffice to say he may wish to retain Lashlee, especially given the positive development of TVD. I’d hate to take a rising talent at QB and switch systems.

Also, do we know the truth of Morehead’s health? He’s back at work, I think, but his health might factor in.

He was at uf under muschamp. That staff got fired and muschamp got the DC job at auburn and t-rob went with him as the DB coach and he is a auburn alum. Muschamp then gets the South Carolina hc job and he brings t-rob with him as DC.

I have a thread with Mario on who I would want.

If it's Kiffen, I would only consider DVD from the defense side, even if it's a recruiter role for him. Offensively I would keep Likens and make him OC. I think Lebby will take over as HC in Ole Miss, and Kiffin is calling the plays, so it doesn't matter much in that sense. Likens has proven to be a solid recruiter, developer, and talent evaluator.
I hope Kiffin can bring Partridge and Durkin with him. They have helped that garbage defense of 2020 transform.

Because like Lashlee...he's a journeyman....he wants to be DC at UM??...Lol...Go ask USCe fans how'd that work out there....

Somewhat ironically, our issues are on the D side. Clean house there and maybe keep DVD for recruiting. I wouldn’t mind seeing Lashlee retained if for no other reason TVD won’t have to learn another offense that could set back that side of the ball some.
 
I’ve been vocal about lashlee being gone also. Yeah Tyler looks great and his offense is solid but without tempo his offense lacks creativity and a creative run game. It’s dependent on tempo and when that’s not working it’s not great. And his play calling situationally isn’t good
 
You all are too **** critical. It’s hard to assess assistant coaches when the head man is incompetent. Conversely, good head coaches make everyone under them look good even when they may not be that good.

I think Patke ought to go because he’s too close to Manny, but other than that, I’d be ok with any coach staying. That said, no one is irreplaceable and the likelihood is an entirely new staff.
